Wii Tech Bird Cage Flash Hider for KWA Kriss Vector GBBR's - Short

"So, I little skeptic buying this item as the other reviewer had issues with it.

TL;DR: Screws on fine, just needs some force. High quality metal, sturdy, and looks great w/o adding much length to the barrel.

I had no problems whatsoever, granted my KWA Kriss is stock so I simply screwed this flash hider on. Took a bit of force the first time to get it on as the flash hider is VERY sturdy and the orange paint between my vector's threads was in the way, I'm assuming this flash hider was modeled on a Vector with factory finish and no regulatory orange paint. Point being, around 5mm away from covering all my Vector's threads, the flash hider got stuck, after that, I just kept twisting it with a towel for extra torque, overcame the resistance and kept screwing. The flash hider comes to a rest where the threads on the Vector outer barrel end and gives the gun a great barrel profile that was missing with just the stock metal thread cover. Adds very little length to the gun overall and is still very maneuverable in close quarters.

So far, banged this flash hider against rocks, dirt, trees etc. playing several games at my local field and its completely untouched so far. The metal is great quality and has this really nice metallic sheen. It is doing a great job protecting the threads on my Vector's stock outer barrel and looking awesome in the process. For the price, this is excellent quality.

"My KWA Vector came with a Angel Customs Barrel Extension Mock Suppressor, which meant it shot at 500 fps... no go for most fields so I needed a flash hider. Now seeing that this is meant for the the KWA vector, I find that it not screwing in all the way to be frustrating. There's still a good 1/4 inch or more of thread left to go and aside from being bright orange, the flash hider was supposed to help protect my thread on the barrel.

Now it did say that some custom fitting may be needed, but if this product is meant to fit on a specific product, then they really should have made sure it would fit all KWA Vectors... not like there's a lot of them out there.

The metal quality is good, but after actually seeing on my Vector... it doesn't look right imho.

500 FPS my Vector stays then.
