Developed in the 1920's, the ZB vz. 26 Light Machine gun is a gas-operated, air cooled, light weight, man portable squad support weapon. Primarily used by the Czechoslovakian military, the ZB vz. 26 design also saw service with various countries across Europe and Asia and has taken part in numerous conflicts including WW2 and the Korean War; sometimes used by both sides. Most famously, the ZB vz. 26 was adopted by Britain and then updated and redesigned into what is known as the Bren Gun.

Unlike other light machine guns of its time which were often belt fed, the ZB vz. 26 is unique in that it is a top loading magazine fed weapon. The advantage of this is that the overall weight of the gun is much lighter and the weapon was less prone to malfunctions caused by dirt and debris getting into the guns action.

The Matrix ZB vz. 26 is quite an accurate recreation of the weapon featuring a quick detach outer barrel and adjustable sights with oversized adjustment dial. The Matrix ZB vz. 26 features full metal construction which includes the receiver, barrel, sights, carry handle, and bipod along with real wood furniture including the grip, stock, and carry handle. The gun itself is a solid performer with reinforced metal internals and an impressive rate of fire right out of the box; the extra-long barrel also gives the gun quite a bit of reach and accuracy.

"Beautiful gun. Worth the money if your into older ww2 type guns. I have not shot it yet so i cant speak for that. But there is a makot issue with this. Buyer beware. The description states it comes with one 500-600 round high cap magazine. Thats FALSE! Mine came with a 110 round mid cap. Very disappointing especially when all the high cap magazines are SOLD OUT. I basically wont even run this gun in any games until high cap mags become available to buy. I dont want to buy 10 mid caps to make up for 1-2 high caps that i dont have. Very disappointed evike doesnt have the high cap mags in stock let alone the description being wrong. Im still giving this a good review anyway.

"The Full Metal ZB-30 Machine gun arrived yesterday and today was the trials were for the new gun. I ordered the gun and added a extra magazine for free with the gift program. The box contains a small 9.6v battery, charger, magazine wind up key (don't lose this) a metal flash suppressor to replace the orange plastic one already installed, a cleaning rod and the gun itself.

Initial inspection was good, just a few stickers to remove and all the parts seemed in place and secure. There were a couple loose BBs in the box, indication of a test fire at the factory or Evike. The next morning, I went over the gun and tightened any loose screws, a few, and replaced the plastic flash hider with the supplied metal version. The plastic version, orange should be kept for safe storage in case you ever sell or ship the gun. The 2mm set screw needs to be loosened to remove the plastic FH and use the same screw to secure the metal FH. The threads are left handed, so righty-loosey. You will need a wrench or large channel locks to remove the plastic FH as it is set on with a loc-tite type glue.

There was one missing screw on the rear sling attachment stud. It uses four. Everything else was in place and functioned properly. I installed a 1600mah 9.6 battery and loaded the mag with .25 BBs. You need the key to charge the mag as there is no winding wheel. I cleaned the barrel with a few passes of a cleaning patch and silicone lube and off to the bench I went.

The gun fired flawlessly right away. With out adjusting the hopup, I was getting a nice flat trajectory right out to about 120 feet. The sights were bottomed out, so I just fired by watching the BBs fly. I used up the 600 hundred BB in no time and only had three loose ones in the magazine afterward, probably due to the top feed feature of the ZB-30.

A nice machine gun, the plastic stocks look very wooden with the rough arsenal finish look to them. There is a bit of "Echo1" writing on the receiver, basically machined through the paint. Some flat black paint rubbed across the lettering will help that disappear. Again, overall, I am impressed and very happy with the quality and function of this gun.

"I am so happy I purchased this gun, It works so well. Firing rate is a stream of bb's, pretty solid fps (you know if you get hit), and just looks sick. I recommend this gun to anyone who is looking for a nice LMG.

Pros:
-Great rate of fire/fps
-Looks amazing
-Clip holds pretty good amount of ammo

Cons:
-Pretty Heavy
-Wood on the stock is kinda cheap

Other then that this gun has been great and I don't really have any complaints!
