"An excellent gun I've had for almost five years at this point, the body is incredibly well built and will last quite a while. If you're looking for a higher-end gun to maintain and keep around for quite a while this one will do. The only complaints I have are the stock and how picky it is with mags. The stock was easy enough to switch out and get more battery room, I did it and I suck at teching. Mag's are a bit tricky but not impossible to find. Worth the investment.

"Best gun to ever have, shoots fast, shoots straight and aesthetically pleasing. my only issue is that its a bit heavier than most rifles even full metal, and the stock all i can say is "chonk". But you can adapt to the weight and change the stock any day.

"Awesome system. If you plan on replacing the inner barrel, the info listed here is incorrect. Its actually a 420-425mm inner barrel. 363mm is way to short. Trust me. I then measured and sure enough it 420+.

"I bought mine in April 2020 and aside from two specific points, I agree with the general consensus that this gun is pretty awesome.
First, this latest model definitely comes with a MOSFET.

Second, the flash hider does come off but as another reviewer mentioned, it’s no picnic. After wrestling with it for about an hour, I finally took the end of the outer off and used doubled-up gasket rubber in vise grips on the outer and used a pair of channel locks on the hider itself and turned each set of pliers away from each other to break the epoxy they use on the threads. Once the hider started moving, it still took quite a bit of effort to completely remove it as the epoxy fills the threads and you have to power through it to get the hider off. Once off the barrel threads were unscathed which is a testament to the quality of this product.

As far as mags are concerned, aside from the included hi-cap, the box of Elite Force mid-caps I bought for it have performed flawlessly, they seat with a definite ‘click’ with no wobble and feed without issue.

I love this rifle and believe it’s worth every penny.

"This is my favorite gun I've ever owned. You could run this gun stock for years and never have a issue. It works with pretty much any battery and any M4 Magazine. Shoots ~370-380 on a .25G out of the box and after a couple games my FPS dropped to ~350 FPS on a .25G. I'm now shooting 390-400 on a .28G at 1.8 Joules. I'm barely passing chrono and nailing targets at 300ft.
*I highly recommend a new stock to compensate for battery space; I use 11.1v 1200 mAh*

Parts list (Beware you will be shooting ~450 FPS. You need to break in the spring to decrease the power!)
All parts are available here on Evike.com!
Do this to your M27 and NEVER touch it again;
- Matrix M125 AEG Spring
- ORGA Super Power 6.00 ultra tight bore for TM AEG (Brass $60) *NOT THE CHEAPER ONE*
- Madbull Shark 60 Degree OR G&G Cold Resistant bucking (I use madbull)
- ProWin M4 Hopup or keep the Hopup stock
- Maple Leaf Flat nub/spacer
- Lonex High Torque motor

I've been running this setup for almost a year and have had zero problems. DO NOT RUN ON FULL AUTO with 11.1v it will lock your gearbox and/or cause damage. If you plan on running full auto use 9.6v or 7.4v.

"So i bought myself this gun and happen to have one of the earlier generations of M27's from around 2015 and wanna point out alot of the internal differences between both, since the earlier M27s were $450 and not $470 like the current ones.
The QCS Avalon gearbox is a very solid, with a very nice mosfet to boot.
The gun shot 400-415fps out of the box, my previous generation M27 shot around 350fps out of the box.
The writing on the right side of the reciever is smaller compared to the earlier generation, not that I really cared about the size of it, that's extreme nitpickiness.
The flash hider is metal and is not superglued to oblivion, it has a small grub screw that's easy to unscrew, and i was able to unthread it pretty easy with an AR barrel wrench.
The previous generation M27 had around a 350-360mm inner barrel, this newer generation has a 406mm inner barrel thankfully, but still has around 50mm or so of empty barrel space, so I got myself a ZCI 455 inner barrel and extends out to around midway through the flash hider.
The compression parts have unfortunately been downgraded compared to previous generations, the ported cylinder and cylinder head are on par with something ud see in a sportline elite force gun, the crappy tin foil cylinder and plastic cylinder head should be replaced ASAP.
The hop up unit is the black rotary style unit.
The gears are actually not the usual vfc self-shimming gearset, they use normal shafts and I'm assuming are still 16:1 ratio.
The gears sit on bearings, which I'm assuming are 8 or 9mm.
The tappet plate is also the same brittle vfc tappet plate which should be replaced immediately.
The nozzle does have an o ring tho so keep that around.
The piston and aluminum piston head are worth keeping too, those havent changed from previous generations.
The biggest surprise to me was the motor, it's very torquey, not the usual black crappy vfc motor, Looks alot like a ZCI hi torque motor but it uses an o-type pinion gear, definitely worth keeping.
Overall I'm real happy with the gun and definitely worth the slight $20 increase compared to previous generations.

"this gun is great, very durable, reliable, and has that almost real gun feel.

Pros:
good weight
durable
full metal
very little stock wiggle
shoots ~250ft (with adjusted hop up) (hop up easy to use)
but pad feels great
easy to get to battery compartment
MOSFET is nice
out of box shoots great

Cons:
very picky with mags because of the straight mag well
very little battery room in stock (still was able to fit 11.1v stick LiPo)

"This weapon is incredibly accurate. More so than the KJW KC02, which is a pretty big achievement. Even in full-auto, 200-foot shots are possible if your hop-up is tuned properly. I personally use .20 grams, as I do use it in a squad-support role as the real M27 and I don't want to blow money away by using anything heavier and more expensive. The stock is very sturdy, and does not wobble unlike many other retractable stocks of a similar style.

Pros
-Ridiculously accurate
-Great rate of fire with an 11.1v LiPo
-Fantastic range, effective out to 200 feet
-No wobble to any parts except slight wobble to the magazine that you'll realistically never notice
-Amazing packaging, it comes held in place by thick, durable cardboard inserts and wrapped in a plastic bag
-Lightweight. I'm 14 years old and 165 pounds and I have no problem carrying this around for a full weekend of play.

Cons
-Looks like a normal carbine, so many fields won't allow it to be set to full-auto like the real M27 would be. Sometimes, if you explain the real M27's purpose, the organizers will allow you to use full-auto like a normal LMG.
-6mm ProShop Midcaps don't fit my gun, oddly enough. My friend's EF M27 does fit them, he has the 2015 rendition and I have a 2014 version I recently bought used. This shouldn't be a problem for you, but the information is here if it means anything to you.

Overall, this is a fantastic rifle for people looking to fill a modern US Marine support gunner/automatic rifleman loadout. Apart from being one of the only M27s on the market, this is the PERFECT platform for a PolarStar fusion engine. I'll be dropping one in as soon as I get the chance. If you're looking for the perfect gun to HPA, you've found it.

"Important to remember this is an outdoor gun....

The USMC adopted this rifle to replace the bulky SAW, versatile enough to use in the DMR role like I have.

Going into purchasing a new DMR I was looking to replace my M14 EBR......if anyone on this site complains about the weight of this gun they haven't gone a weekend carrying an M14 with kit. This gun just feels good, right out of the box, great step up from an M4 for the guys looking to do some distance shooting, 16 inch barrel is great. Shot close to 380 out of the box

Simple enough...DMR guys......get this gun or a Krytek don't waste your cash on anything else

"Let me start off by saying this weapon is absolutely incredible and well worth the price tag. There's a lot of really good reviews already, so I'll cover the things less touched upon. I can 100% guarantee that there is in fact 14mm CCW threads under the flash hider, and the flash hider is EXTREMELY difficult to remove. I would also highly recommend some type of rail covers. Now that that's out of the way, here's some more specs.

- 14mm CCW threads
- numchuck batteries only, no block batteries
- no single point sling mount - aftermarket ones work
- full HK trades, not on the magazine however as some reviews will say
- elite force mid caps feed flawlessly
- inner barrel is NOT 360mm, but ~433
- 'barrel' or 'drum' style hop up
- battery is wired with small tamiya plug

The only issue I encountered was that the trigger contacts built up carbon and stopped functioning very quickly, which could however be just with the gun that I received. Side note, FPS out of the box is much closer to 360 max, no where near the 400 FPS advertised.

Overall it's an incredible gun, and with minor upgrades, (m115 spring, angel custom tight bore barrel, and an aftermarket hop up), this weapon will be the last airsoft gun you'll ever need.

"I bought this gun off a buddy of mine for 150. And omg. Amazing. He sold it because he didn't care for the sport. He only played 2 games. Oh well onenough man's trash is another man's " he bro don't touch my m27"

"This gun is basically a longer 416. This gun is amazing if you gave the money and you need a long range gun, This is a must buy. I turned mine into a drm and it is perfect for it.

"To start this off, I've had this gun for about 6-7 months, I've lightly/medially upgraded this gun to my liking. but before the upgrades.....XD. it was a pretty great gun. however I do heavily recommend upgrading the hop up bucking for the stock bucking is terrible. Ive had lots of fun using this gun in and outdoors. What i do recommend is that you get a great sling, cause this thing is front heavy, but once you've played with it for a while, you will get used to it. Also, if you lend this gun to your friend or left it at a tech shop at the field you go to or out of state, you will miss the gun, A LOT.XD

Pros~
- Great inner barrel (and length)
- ok-motor
- A hair under 400 fps
- very battery universal
- (Now) internally great
Cons~
- Front heavy
- Sharp rails ( I recommend rail covers)
- Will miss it if you don't have it in your vicinity 24/7
