"Bought for my classic army AUG for a shorter barrel and it works perfectly.

"I love this addition to my Aug A2 never really cared for the stock barrel length. This is my first airsoft rifle and I have been pleased with it. I liked the look of my aug but I like it even more now!

"Bought this because I had hop up issues with the original barrel, feeding hole was warping and I kept getting backups/jams at the mag, the hop up on the back of this one actually seems a little sturdier than the stock barrel, and the shorter profile of it is much nicer for CQB engagements in game. I actually use this barrel more than the longer one, since it's still super long and accurate, shortening from 509mm (stock inner barrel) to this one, still gives me a longer inner that most standard M4's. So still incredibly accurate when the hop up is dialed in.
All that, and it looks way cooler ;)

"Installed this in my JG AUG. Works great. No problems whatsoever. Looks identical to the original JG barrel assembly except of course for the length. Probably the same manufacturer. When changing barrels on these AUGs, do be very careful. You should not just slap these things in and out like you would on a real steel AUG. The hop up is plastic and therefore care is required. Take it slow and you'll be fine.
Carry on, and be careful out there. But do have fun!!!

"I bought my lady an AUG A2 from ASG on amazon, and it performs really good! However, we noticed that the outer barrel was curved, and it was all glued together! (wtf?). I saw this, decided to give it a go, and it fits perfectly! It was a bit hard to install (needs some elbow grease), but it works!! =]
Pros:
- Sturdy
- Metal outer barrel.
- Metal flash hider.
- Looks more realistic.
Cons:
- None! =]

"The barrel set is great! Also comes with a standard jg brass barrel, didn't think it did, and the grip is extremely solid without wobble!

"Great product, barrel is sturdy, grip is sturdy... at least for awhile it will wobble after a long time of use. But it is not hard to fix. All you have to do is get a fat sizable pin, and put it in the square hole of the barrel where the grip is. Anyway. This barrel does not fit a Snowwolf AUG I think the Snowwolf augs are more new and a lot smaller but this is not a problem to fix either. You would just have to bore out a little where the barrel would fit in. This barrel is easy to upgrade, a lonex enhanced hop up fits, a lambda 6.05mm tightbore barrel fits, and a G&g bucking fits. All around it is a nice barrel just some small modifications done that’s why I give it 4 or 4.5 stars.

"Didn't fit my jg aug or my echo 1 aug, the inner barrel was crooked by about 30% and the lip that latches on to the front assembly was slightly too thick, I had to file down the slot that it goes into, but once all was corrected it worked like a dream, and the cylinder is tuned for a 510mm barrel so putting a much shorter barren in it really ensured it was shooting hard and accurately with each shot, even when it double fed.

"Great product nothing different than most stock Aug parts only thing I didn't like was as expressed in other reviews the barrel, hop up, and bucking were covered in a horrid grease that prevented it from firing correctly just simply clean all those parts with rubbing alcohol and now it shoots like a dream

"It fit OK on my JG Aug. One of the mounting tabs had to be ground down slightly to get the barrel assembly to rotate in the receiver. Shooting is about equal to the stock assembly which is about 2" longer. The flip down handle is of much higher quality than the original and is much tighter. The muzzle is a nice high quality metal piece. Comes with an inner barrel even though it's not stated.

"First off, I got this barrel for my aug because I originally had an a3, but I bought all the parts from here to make an a2, and an a1 if I wanted to. After getting the scope, I knew the barrel that I had came with no texture or folding grip to finish the look($15 flash hider also a bonus). So I gathered my earth dollars, and bought this here barrel.
When getting the barrel, it looked great. It fit in my gun like a charm, the flash hider had an easy to remove set screw, and it comes 14mm negative for the suppressor I have. The grip works, it just has tiny wobble. Not awful in any circumstance, but definitely noticeable.
Here's my issue, and why I rated it 4 stars.
The hop-up works, the adjustment wheel fixes the little knob up and down, but the hole that fed the bbs into the hop-up from the magazine was too small. I tried firing it, nothing came out, and I pulled the magazine out to have 20 bbs fly out because they had nowhere to go. I tested my old barrel, it worked fine. It took me a few hours to find the problem, dropping bbs into each hop-up to find any difference, and sure enough, the bb went halfway into the hole, and stopped. It could be shoved, but that was impractical. I had to bore the hole larger, careful not to damage the hop-up mechanism itself, until a bb can actually fit through it.
So, all in all, this is basically rated 4.5 stars, because the hop-up issue wasn't too hard to fix, and the grip is slightly wobbly. Other than that, it's pretty kool.

"It works...sort of. Only get this if you need to replace broken parts. Full review below.
I have a JG Aug A2 that's probably eight years old now. This part was almost a drop in replacement. I say almost, because the ring around the front half off the barrel assembly where it locks into the receiver was slightly thicker than on the JG, preventing the assembly from locking in place. It was nothing a tiny bit of filing couldn't fix, and I'll forgive this because this kit is made by APS rather than JG and minor incompatibilities like that are to be expected.
What is unforgivable on this is the hop up unit. Everything about it is garbage, including how it is installed at the factory. While trying to figure out why my gun started so consistently double-feeding, I discovered the rear of the barrel to be heavily lubed with bad grease, and the bucking to have not been properly installed. Clearing off the grease and reseating the bucking made it double feed only once every fourth shot, and when it didn't double feed it made my gun chrono 40 fps lower than my other barrel. Not to mention that the parts on the rear of the hop up fall right off at the lightest touch. It's so bad that my 8 year old JG hop up and its worn out stock bucking do a better job, giving me my gun's full stock fps and more-or-less perfect feeding.
Between the hop up and one of the completely threaded screw heads on the assembly, and the muzzle threads that are so tight that I needed gloves to take the flash hider off even after loosening the little hex screw, about the only good thing I can say about the assembly is that the foregrip is much more sturdy than the stock JG one that broke within the first year of ownership.
The barrel itself is made of brass, and it's so heavily crowned that I can't get a solid reading with my calipers. I want to say this might be a 6.04, but don't quote me on that and don't expect it to be of anything above average quality given the rest of this assembly.
The only reason I can see to get a kit like this is if your stock barrel assembly broke. Which is what happened in mine; the rear section where the hop up is secured to the outer barrel assembly broke apart. I have little faith in this unit not to break as well down the line given the quality I've seen from it so far. Ultimately, time will tell.

"A sturdy, nice-looking nice-feeling barrel. I bought mine to make a dmr barrel for my Marui AUG High Cycle. It did not quite fit in the forward receiver, and I had to grind down the outer diameter of the still-black part of the barrel right behind the foregrip assembly, before the barrel turns green. But it did fit the G&P metal hopup unit, and has worked like a charm since!

"Do not buy this barrel! This barrel looked great when I bought it but when I installed it into my JG aug the bbs would not feed into it. Then I tried it on my APS aug and the bbs would not feed into it either. Then I replaced the hopup unit with a replacement and got the same results. This was a complete waste of money.
