"I don't normally write reviews, but I cannot help it with this PTT.
I bought it back in late 2016 or early 2017 ish. I cannot believe it has been almost 8 years. Guess what, this thing is still running very well after all this time. I never abused it or put it through things a PTT shouldn't go through though. The best part about it is that I can use its 3.5mm audio jack to hook it up to my MSA sordin supreme pro x, making a previous non-comm enabled active headset work with my radio. So if you are looking at comms for your headset, a 280 dollar sordin with a 50 buck high quality ptt will beat a sordin supreme Mil CC that is 700 plus dollars. On top of that the Mil CC does not come with any PTT so you need your own NATO downlead capable PTT that will run you at least another 100 bucks(you still need to worry whether the PTT is amped or non-amped).
I am not an expert on comm setup but I do have a Mil CC and an Ops Core AMP with a bunch of different PTTs that sometimes work and sometimes don't. In my case those two headsets do not share the same PTTs. ;(((
I think this code red headset PTT is too good to be true. I would 100% recommend because it will save you from so much pain down the road if you are looking into comm options.
