G&P MOTS Full Metal Receiver Kit (Color: Blank / Black)

"Pretty solid receiver. The ambidextrous mag release is a pretty awesome feature. since this is a MOTS receiver, the top rail will sit a little bit higher than most hand rails. The MOTS hand rails are the only ones I know that will be flush with upper rail. The dust cover will not close. It can if the gearbox is not installed, but the cylinder of your gearbox will keep the dust cover from closing all the way, even if you file the latch down.

Pros:
-Fits gearboxes very well
-Solid
-Receiver pins stay attached to the receiver and can be popped out with ease for quick disassembly.
-Motor grips are exceptionally flush with this body. I used a Magpul PTS grip.

Cons:
-Top rail is only flush with MOTS rails
-Dust cover won't close. I have filed down the locking mechanism all the way to the spring and it still hits the cylinder. I ended up reversing the spring to just hold it closed.
-Dust cover is proprietary, so after market ones with slimmer latches won't fit
-Doesn't come with mag release, trigger pin, selector switch, bolt catch release, and charging handle. (G&P sells a kit with all of these plus a metal hopup unit and bucking for $20 on evike)
-If you choose to do front wiring, which I did briefly before I dropped in a Titan, the wires are a pain to get through when using a MOTS rail. It is possible, just very inconvenient when you disassemble because you have to pull them through every time unless there is a LOT of slack where you don't have to.
