CYMA New Gen. Tokyo Marui AEP Clone Heavy Weight 1911 Airsoft Electric Pistol w/ Metal Gearbox

"This pistol is a bit hefty, but if you have adult hands - no problem. I put after market grips on, and they’re a little thicker as well. The Hop up works amazing! The 100 round mags are amazing. This is my secondary every game. Hopped correctly you get 75’ - 100’ easy in semi auto. Full auto about 60’ - 70’. This gun has been submerged in mud, and clogged, and once cleaned - it worked like brand new. It’s a tough gun!

"This is a great weapon for the price. I got this as a nice low-maintenance backup weapon for my son. I have used this is many 1v1 matches, and it's surprisingly accurate.

"This gun is nice for the price, especially when it goes on sale. It is quite a bit larger than 1:1, as mentioned, but not quite 2:1. I'd guess 1.5:1 or so. As noted in another review, the battery fits in pretty snug below the barrel, but can be easily extracted by pulling the tab on the opposite side (it will likely have a "QC" sticker on it). It uses a proprietary connector and "dumb" charger. However, a smart charger can be bought (https://www.evike.com/products/61589/) or you can rig your own if you cut the wires and connect them to your regular NiMH smart charger.

Pros:
* Long battery life
* Full metal slide (although it doesn't move)
* Quite hefty (depending on how you view this, can be a con)
* Pretty decent shooter

Minor Issues:
* The rear sights are quite blocky. I would recommend painting the front sight white to help you pick it out
* The hopup is a bit finicky (or maybe I am just bad at adjusting it)
* The paint on the metal magazine is rubbing off after reloading ~20 times; that's just a nitpick to me

"This is an excellent starter pistol with an exceptional sale price. Comes with Battery/charger, BB Feeder, cleaning/un-jamming rod, Clip, handful of BB's, and charger. Fully Automatic-semi. Little bulky but usually do not need to rely on ADS in CQC too much. People say battery placement is inconvenient, however, you flip switch on left side of gun, slide top forward to carefully take off, then slide battery carefully in the right side. To take it out, there is a lever on the other side that wedges it out. I personally like the placement. Pretty accurate as I was able to hit something 30'-40' away consistently. I love this Pistol as my first AEP! Just know that I am not sure how exactly they expect you to attach lazer/light like it says in description so if Webmaster can elaborate, I'd appreciate it. Ammo can go fast so get a couple Ext. Clips to utilize full auto effectively and maybe invest in extra battery too. The Charger plugin did not fully go into the port where the battery slides in so dont force it but it works all the same. It will charge for 3 hours for be mindful and do not leave battery on charger exceeding this time.

"Received this gun yesterday was very impressed. Heavy and seems pretty durable. Metal internals the grip is plastic and it is fatter then a 1:1 scale which is noted. Great rof on full auto. Haven’t got to test in battle but overall would rate 5:5 especially for the price you can’t beat this gun.

"This was a definite surprise for $60, it is very durable and has a surprisingly high RoF. Very good product.

"It works way better than I thought it would! Love it. Great freaking deal buy it while it's low cost. It shoots a little wonky some times, like 2 bbs instead of one every once in a while but that's nothing. It is not accurate for long range but that doesn't matter because it barley reaches those ranges where it isn't accurate lol, its perfect for CQB. It feels great in the hand. The package is everything you will need to make the gun run. I would recommend grabbing a extra battery or 2 they don't last that long. And also some mages would be a good idea because you will go through mags quick with full auto. I find it weird that it's a 1911... But then you can surprise the enemy by whipping out a small little assalt rifle when they expect a semi auto. The gear box sounds weird but has no delay in shots.

The battery compartment opening switch is located in a spot where it's constantly accidently pressed and then the cover may wobble around, it's pretty easily fixed and you will for sure notice before it falls off.

Con: Not as hard hitting as GBB's, but the trade off is that you don't need gas.

"This is the first item I bought on Evike and I must say I'm impressed, it looks feels and shoots great. At first I had an issue with the mag not feeding ammo into the gun, but I think I crammed to many shots in it. The mag holds 29 rounds which on full auto is gone in like 2 seconds. Very satisfying to unload on a row of cans. Evike will definitely be getting future business from me.

"Great side arm. I recently bought this and I love it. The accuracy is consistent after you have broken in the hopup
(roughly 300bbs). I was pleasantly surprised at the range; it was significantly better than I expected. The gun has a solid heft to it which for me is a pro. I also purchased the 100 rd mag to go with it and love the combination. It has a functional "Dove-Tail" style saftey that I like very much. 1 possible con is there is no way to attach a silencer or light to this gun. None that I have seen anyway.
Despite this; I would highly recomend this gun. Well done CYMA

"Just picked one off the boneyard for $12. Easily fixed it and it has a great rate of fire and although its fps is great for what it is. I dont know if I would pay full price for it but its a nice electric sidearm

crappy battery(not purely preformance on this, the way it attaches is prone to snapping cap on batt, going to switch to lipo)

definitely not 1:1(drives me up the wall, only real con worth pointing out, its more close to 2:1, extremely noticable when looking down sights)

overall good gun, only advice I would say is buy it from the boneyard, its my second purchase off of the boneyard and it came in near perfect condition. only thing was battery was damaged and it was missing a spring that was neccessary for firing, easy fixes on both. if you are willing to open the gun up a little bit definitely do it. $12 is to good to say no

PS if you buy boneyard and yours is not firing at all, take off slide and cover inside and look at the little metal arm in front of hammer. it should be pulling and moving a little button(electronic trigger) if it pops over that you just take off the mount for the hammer anf there is a little nub that needs a spring on it. cut a spring down and toss it in and it should work.
