" Time of ownership of magazines before review: 1 year
Magazine usage: all outdoors, windy, dusty, and rainy conditions.
Magazine well Fitment: 7/10
Magazine to Hop-up Feed: 7/10
Reliability and quality of Build: 7/10
Pros: Outer shell is very sturdy, doesn't feel cheap or like it can be easily crushed. The Semi-translucent plastic is nice and helps prevent overloading. Feeds into the (ASG) Hop-up decently with the 8.4v battery under full auto mode. Very little "wiggle" in the mag well. Cleaning of internals is easier due to the slightly opaque magazine shell.
Cons: Seldom internal jams in the mag tube (rap and tap fixed the problem 90% of the time). Occasionally let's a BB or two loose into the body cavity of the rifle (unclear if magazine or gun issue). Occasionally fails to load last 3 to 5 rounds (typical issues with most mid caps with a short feeder arm). Proline AUGs have a tight fitment in the mag well (good or bad depending on player)
After 1 year of ownership, I'm not disappointed with the product. It's a very decent magazine and a great purchase. Very comparable and competitive with the King Arms variant. I recommend this to both beginners and experienced players.
" I run an ASG Proline Aug a2 as my primary, definitely experienced the same stiffness in loading this magazine into the maxwell, still prefer it to the hicap mags I have though, the stiffness of the fit into the maxwell actually makes me feel more confident that this mag won't shift around or fall out in intense situations, and.. of course it's great to not have to wind it up too. I typically carry 4 mags 2x these ones and 2x 300rd hicap and I use these two much more, and save the 2 hicap just for really long games where I go longer w/o reloading.
