WE 888C Airsoft Gas Blowback Rifle GBB - Black

"The WE 888C is one of those gas blow back rifles that gets eyes staring at your gun. Its truly tiny, but LOUD. Be reminded that this is a glass blowback, the bolt is consistently cycling and parts are always moving, so this gun does require a moderate cleaning and lubrication. If taken care of, this gun will be your absolute favorite! Very crisp trigger, strong blowback and a loud bang when fired. The rifle out of the box is ACCURATE but accessing the HOP-up to your preferred distance is some what of a pain. Requires you clearing the chamber and entering a small key (easier than other GBBRs). The 888C comes with a 30 rd mag which is surprisingly light, despite being a gbb mag.

If you are concerned about buying this because it is WE, consider the plethora of aftermarket parts and upgrades you have available. I installed a reinforced nozzle on my stock bolt carrier group and have played countless games with zero issues. Semi is light and crisp and full auto is consistent and reliable. This gun truly surprised me and continues to shock others when they the bolt fly back and forward in full auto. Over all reliable, great weight, accurate as heck and is a ton of fun

"I bought this gun last year. I disnt want to make a quick review until i actually used it and abused it. This is my first aursoft gun since switching from paintball. I have the gbb and let me tell you, best $300 i ever spent!!...although gbb are pricey to keep up. This gun has not failed me at all, has not jammed, broken etc. Even after rolling around in dirt and sand all i can say is this gun is worth every penny in my opinion! Its super heavy!! Realistic all metal and it has a nice recoil to it. Overall best!!! Dont hesitate to buy!!

"Decided to get a GBB rifle cuz why not there cool and i needed a more compact rifle for my playstyle. I researched a lot of the WE GBB series and got a maple leaf crazy jet barrel and an autobot bucking and put that in before I even used it. (My range is absolutely ridiculous and I have a P* FE with a tight bore and flat hop and I like how this shoots over the P*)
The WE 888c (aka a hk 416c) is pretty cool and has some good pros and some cons.

Pro
heavyweight (pro to me cuz im a crazy person)
amazing range (with the $40 upgrade bucking and barrel)
collapsible stock is perfect for peaking corners in CQB areas and extends easily for shouldered shots
gas consumption is acceptable (i use the $10 20oz aim green gas) and i used like half a bottle after 500 rounds or so (also use .30g bbs with it)
recoil feels great
gun is loud but not TOO loud which is great.

Con
Its seriously heavy. don't get this unless you are either strong or are crazy that the more something sucks the more fun it is.
Its a WE GBB rifle. $300... aka pot metal trigger group and bolt. lasted 500ish bbs and then it broke. (NOW i mentioned i did my research I KNEW they were gunna fail and i planned on getting RA tech steel and heat-treated bolt. oh well now its a $550 GBB airsoft gun. I still love it cuz its flipping kick @ss

"Out of the box this gun is superb. Kicks sharp, no leak in the stock mag or the 2 extras I ordered. The rails are a bit sharp so maybe get some comfy gloves or rail covers. The hop is a pain to adjust as well. It's quite acurrate but the only thing I'd say, which could be a pro or con, is that the gun shoots hotter than the description. While the description says 350 fps, it shoots a solid 400 fps. It's great, beautiful gun and I highly recommend it.

"I'm very happy with the rifle. It's very compact and accurate. I mounted and eotech with a 3x magnifier. Also an angled foregrip, rapid transition sights and a surefire 720 v replica. It all adds weight but it's very close to what a real one weighs, just minus the bullet weight. My set ups are for training purposes. That's why so much.
I ran it through the mill day and night shooting and it performed well. The only downsides were the mag stick's (needs broken in) and the stock is only 2 position, I did change it out for a multi position aeg stock (rail section) I had though.
It performed well in target and combat scenarios . I even took those no no Hollywood shots and made most of them.
This rifle is worth every penny and Evike has a great price on it!

"I purchased this gun from evike almost the second they put up on the web sight. It's amazing!!! The thing is built like a tank and the fit and finish is beautiful! Despite having a small stock and a chunky front RIS it's well balanced and very comfortable to shoulder, that veng said if your use to having a area to rest your cheek your going to need to adjust your shooting style. The recoil is pretty hefty for an airsoft gun and will rattle your face if you rest your cheek on the tiny buffer tube. Ok so let's talk performance.... Amazing! I've owned 1 other we gas m4 ( t91) and It too was awesome. I really don't know why ppl hate on we gas guns. From my personal experience they are the best bang for your buck! You have tons of upgrade and replacement parts available not to mention the stock parts are well made and reliable so long as you properly maintain the gun. So the first time I took this gun out to my local field I was blown away! I have a friend with a polar star and this thing out ranged it on a full mag. Granted the cool down affected my fps and range a bit so I purchased a few of the cqb Russian hpa valves and hooked up an air tank......damn!! This thing is sick!!!!

"Had to do a bit of modifying on some parts, nothing too difficult, all in all, good platform, bought RA Tech triggerbox and bolt, aftermarket nozzle and NPAS, should last me a while before anything goes down.

"Right out of the box after the first mag the gun stopped firing. Took it apart and realized the firing pin broke and fell out, I fixed it with some soldering wire and a blow torch which probably tells you something about the quality of internal metal. Other than that the gun works and feels great just like the real thing.

"I received mine a few days ago and overall I am happy with it. After adding some rail covers, replacing the flash hider and changing the pistol grip to something more comfortable, it's great.

It shoots straight and has great kick. Although it is not as reliable or easy to use as my polar star, I definitely enjoy using this much more. Having feedback from a rifle and having to manipulate it like a real AR adds a lot more to the game.

As with all of the other we tech "416" rifles I've seen, the magazines did require some filing just below the feeding lips in order for them to lock in the mag well without slamming them like I was in a 90s movie. 15 minutes with a hand file and all five of my mags were good to go.

Although it does require some work out of the box to function effectively and requires more maintenance than and aeg or polar star (or even a real AR), it is worth it for sure. If you are looking to get into the world of gas blowback rifles do not hesitate and grab this while they are available. I almost got an MSK but I am glad I held out for this!
