KWA Full Metal AKG-74 AK74M Airsoft Gas Blowback GBB Rifle The venerable AK design has withstood the test of time, however it falls short in fulfilling the needs of the modern gunfighter. Custom shops recognized the need to modernize the relaiable AK platform, and have introduced several key modifications. First, the gas piston has been extended to reduce the felt recoil. An AR15 style rear sight was added and moved to the rear of the dust cover. This not only allowed for windage adjustment, but also increased the sight radius by 64%. A Galil style thumb safety has been added as well as an M249 style pistol grip. The stock has been changed out to an AR15 carbine stock tube to allow the installation of AR15 retractable stocks.
The KWA AKG-KCR is based offf of the KWA AKG platform, but with an AR15 style rear sight, then moved to the rear of the dust cover. This allows for the windage adjustment and improved accuracy with the increased sight radius. With the help of the improved sights, the user of the AKG-KCR can make full use of the incredibly accurate Type 4 Hop-Up System. A Galil style thumb safety has been added as well as an M249 style pistol grip in order to provide users with a more convenient way to select firing modes. The AKG side folding stock has also been replaced with a Mil-Spec carbine stock tube. This allows users to not only adjust the length of pull, but also adds options to customize the AKG-KCR with a variety of AR15 retractable stocks. A 3-positition picatinny rail and a flat top railed dust cover have been installed, further modernizing the KWA AKG-KCR.

" It's a fantastic gun, but there is a few drawbacks the main thing being the weight, and the magazines are also fairly heavy and expensive but if your going to events with it it's accurate, hard hitting and just feels so good to shoot
" There is one word that describes this gun... Awesome. It is very accurate and surprisingly consistent even in the cold weather of Washington state. The materials feel good and it has a nice amount of weight to it. A couple of my complaints are that the front rails wobble a tiny bit and the rail on the upper receiver is impractical because the upper reciever is not connected to the barrel internally and when secured to the lower reciever still wobbles which makes it terrible for mounting optics. Luckily they left he ak side mount in the gun so... Just use that. A couple other things to keep in mind is that although being able to get through 80 rounds on one gas fill is cool, the only reason it can is because of the mags insane gas capacity. This thing eats gas. After a six hour event I had gone through one and a half 8oz cans of green gas. Also they recommend .25g bbs but for maximum accuracy I use .30g bbs. One other thing to keep in mind is that this gun is loud. If you are trying to be stealthy it is not the gun for you but if you want to be the most bad@ss guy on the field than look no further.
