"Krytac gearboxes are awesome and easy to work on if you are looking for that Titan or Spectre upgrade.
Nice solid gearbox that is what I needed (which is another Krytac gearbox!)

"These gears are great, no need to change them ever, and no they are a lot better then just stock gears, and yes they are worth 75$ heck Should be more $$$ whoever thinks these gears are cheap or not god tier.... Your wrong. Best aeg, can compete with a polarstar or anything else in your field.

"This is a great gearbox! I can't stess how high quality MOST (foreshadowing) of the components in this gearbox are. Easily one the highest quality gearboxes on the market.
It is by far the most reinforced gearbox I've seen. I have a 45K rpm motor that snapped my previous fullmetal gearbox in half, but with this thing I have absolutely no worries. It's hard to convey how much extra reinforcement krytac added.
This gearbox also came with a padded cylinder head which is incredible and just adds the this beast's reliability.
It also comes with a nozzle that already has an O ring installed stock!
The bearings are 8mm and they feel super high quality.
The gears feel really nice and they even have a self shiming system which is just crazy!
The anti reverse latch is designed in a way that makes the gearbox easy to work on.
So there's a lot right with this gearbox, but here's what they got wrong.
This is minor, but I wish krytac would say what spring comes in this gearbox.
For such a high quality gearbox, I wish the piston had all metal teeth instead of just the last three. The plastic is not the strongest and I would recommend upgrading to a more durable piston, especially if you're wanting high FPS or RPS.
But easily the most disappointing part of the gearbox is the trigger unit. This gearbox really struggles of you run an 11.1v lipo. Which makes me beg the question, why make such a durable gearbox if you can't even put any real power through it. When hooked up to an 11.1v lipo, the gun will randomly overspin and then your gun is stuck in two round burst until it randomly switches back. This gets really annoying and for a $212 gearbox it's unacceptable in my opinion. After putting less than 1000 bbs through it, I upgraded to a mosfet that rhymes with Tate Ritan and there have been no issues whatsoever.
So after a new mosfet and an AOE correction this gun shoots amazing! It's an absolute beast! I would still recommend this gearbox. If you want a gearbox that can take a lot of abuse, buy this. Just know that you'll probably have to replace the trigger unit and the piston.
For those of you who hate reading...
Pros:
Insanely durable
Padded head
Nozzle fitted with an O ring
Gears are self shiming and super durable
8mm bearings
Wire cover to protect wires from motor
Easy to work on
Cons:
Don't tell you what spring comes in it
Doesn't come with a full metal teeth piston
Trigger unit can't even handle an 11.1
Randomly overspins on 11.1 causing two round burst

"I have mixed feelings about this gearbox. Krytac says they want their line of guns to be as non proprietary as possible so most of 3rd party parts could fit in their gearbox. It's only Logical especially in a world where upgrade parts are endless. A non proprietary gearbox sounds amazing. But for the Krytac, its true to a certain extent.
First off all of the internals are high quality and can last you a long long time. With a heavily reinforced gearbox that'll take earthquakes to destroy, comes neat features such as the built in MOSFET, locking bolt catch for easy hop up dialing, wiring reinforced with tons of shrink wrap, easy spring swap system and tons more features. Everything runs as smooth as water in this gearbox.
Now the gears, this is where things get extremely disappointing. The gears themselves are fine. In fact, better than most stock gears with a self shimming feature....that are worth $75 that are PROPRIETARY to the Krytac gearbox. Yup. Therfor you cannot not replace them with any other gears other than the $75 gears Krytac sell.
Let me tell you. These gears are definitely not worth $75 dollars. You can get true CNC steel high grade gears for nearly 1/3 of the price that will probably last you longer. But lets say you do buy new gears and replace the Krytac sector gear. Your result? The gearbox will have a gap unable to form a full parallel seal. But let's say you still try to screw it down. Not only will you ruin your new gears you bought, you will also ruin the structure integrity of the Gearbox.
Bottom line don't try it unless you're willing to buy a brand new Krytac Gearbox.
A cheap move from Krytac forcing customers who bought their guns to purchase overpriced replacements parts that are proprietary to the gearbox the sell.
Again, the gearbox is a working horse that'll outperform most gearboxes out on the market. And for the price of a Krytac aeg, it is worth every penny. However, prepare to be a victim of cheap business when it comes to upgrading your Krytac.

"The gear box was great. Snappy trigger response and very nice build quality. The only bad thing is that It didn't fit in my G&G body so your going to have to find the medal krytac body which is impossible to find. Other then that its great!
