"I love it. it feels just like my Russian Makarov, it has a nice heft to it and feels natural in my hand. The mag doesn't leak and the blowback is nice and crisp. the decocker/safety works just fine, the hammer drops, and you can simply take it off and cock the hammer and it's ready to go. The extended inner barrel and suppressor are both clockwise and it comes with the standard adapter if you wanna use a tracer or other suppressor. The included suppressor can attach to anything with the standard internal threads but the threaded section isn't too long so I'd say it would be fine for show but too much knocking around could mess it up. the internal barrel screws on and off easily and is flush with the suppressor's end.

Unless you're really good at changing mags, I'd wager this is good as a last-chance shot or secondary backup, with the mag release in the butt and all this isnt the tactical reload type. of course my hands arent what they used to be which doesn't help. but its a beauty and absolutely worth what i paid, just need a few more mags

"Really nice pistol, I got mine in the $99 open box deal, slightly used, but still perfectly usable and very good looking, with only slight wear and tear. One thing that surprised me is how nice this pistol feels in the hand, I mean, this thing is insanely comfortable to hold which is surprising for a retro pistol like this. The gun is also highly compact with a metal slide and plastic frame, both being high quality (this thing has some good weight to it, very solid feeling). It can easily fit in a pocket, or any holster (Get a surplus Makarov holster for bonus points)

The controls are very simple and include:
- A slide mounted safety that functions as a slide lock and doubles as a de-cocker if the hammer is cocked (note: trigger can still be pulled and will move hammer with safety engaged, but the gun will not fire)
- A slide lock that locks open on an empty mag
- A very old school and somewhat awkward heel mag release (not very tacticool, but effective)

-Mags holds about 15 bb’s with a perfect double stack, and you should get about a mag and a half on a full load of green gas which is pretty impressive considering that this thing kicks HARD like it’s actually insane, and super cool at the same time.

-Sights stink though, very small, and my rear notch sight has come loose, and the way this kicks actually makes me scared it’s gonna come flying off.

- Disassembly is stupid easy, and is the only way to adjust to hop up. Also while you’re in there be sure to take the barrel assembly off and check on the screw that holds the barrel mounting block on. Mine was loose, and yours probably is too. No big deal just take it out, add a dab of loctite, and reassemble (theres guides online to help you with this)

- Performance-wise the fixed barrel means accuracy is very good and that just gets better with the included barrel extension and mock suppressor that covers it up. NOTE you will have to remove the orange tip to screw the mock suppressor on, this can be a minor pain, but it’s the only way.

Overall this is a really nice pistol and a pleasant surprise to get in a mystery box. It’s a welcome break from the Glocks and 1911’s that dominate the airsoft field. I never would’ve imagined this pistol being so good or me liking it so much, and I can almost guarantee you’ll like it just as much too.

"One of the best airsoft sidearms ever.

This is a long-term review, all of our team runs these guns and have been doing so for 3+ years.

First thing first: the main screw holding the barrel assembly to the frame NEEDS a drop of strong thread locker, otherwise it will develop wobble on the barrel, which causes wobbly slide, which causes inconsistency, failure to lock back, random recoil, destroys accuracy, and even damages the slide in the long term.

But do that simple mod and this gun is a beast! 15mm nozzle with cup seal piston head provides extreme recoil: this is the hardest kicking green gas gun ever (with the exception of the WE Desert Eagle, but that thing has pretty much an M4 nozzle :p)
The hop design is the best I've ever seen in any airsoft gun, easy to adjust and provides TDC pressure, something no other gun does. It can easily shoot .30s to 60+ meters, with the only thing limiting the range being the extremely small sights.

Mags hold 16 bbs and enough gas for 2 bb fills, which is great.

Barrel and bucking can be swapped for VSR type, so go with a Maple Leaf Decepticon Maple Leaf 84mm 6.02 or RA-Tech 84mm x 6.01 inner barrel and this things will outperform any other sidearm on the battlefield. That combo also provides a pretty steady 310 FPS without the need for the suppressor which is great for most fields, as out of the box it shoots an extremely hot 400+ with the barrel extension and a pitiful 250 without it.

We like to use a cutout from the original bucking as a spacer between the inner and outer barrel to keep it steady, which works great as this is pretty much the only airsoft gun out there that doesn't have a tilting outer barrel, so we can fix the inner in that fashion.

Overall I would recommend this gun 100%. Just make sure to loctite that screw and if possible toss in a Maple Leaf Decepticon 60º bucking+ an 84x6.01/02 inner barrel and you'll have a beast of a gun that will work forever.

"Very happy with this gun, got 3 guys with it who were camping in a trench the first game using it as a sidearm. The extended barrel is a nice feature and adds power and accuracy.

"Great gun but DO NOT USE PROPANE use green gas propane will kill your gun after a week

"This guy has a pretty solid weight and a REALLY NICE finish, it met my expectations as far as functioning -- the safety is delightfully stiff, the slide is brisk, but there are a few downsides immediately obvious to this gun.

First of all, the magazine is incredibly difficult to remove. Maybe this is just me, and it's of course accurate to the REAL Makarov so not really an issue with the maker, but the magazine release is a lever just behind the magazine itself on the bottom of the handle that you have to push back to pull it out. Maybe if I had to pull it towards the mag so that I could make one fluid motion when pulling it out, it'd be better.

Second, the gun comes with a GLUED-IN ORANGE TIP, like most WE-Tech guns do. I know this doesn't come as a surprise for an airsoft gun in general, but since this gun COMES WITH A SILENCER this means youll have to learn how to take-apart your gun and safely remove the tip from the barrel entirely if you want to even USE THE SILENCER. Pretty tedious in my opinion. The suppressor didn't come with orange tape as shown in the images, which I consider to be a plus.

Finally, the grip. The black "polymer" grip, while seeming pretty sturdy (doesn't wiggle or anything) feels really brittle and like it might crack over time. That's just a paranoia I have, but what i CAN tell just from holding it is that its not really comfortable. Something about holding the gun just makes me want to not-hold-it, the general ergonomics of it feel off -- the groove for the thumb is probably the only thing saving it.

So the PROS of the gun, first of all, right out of the box, is the amazing finish. The silvered finish is genuine, it's smooth and doesnt seem like it'll ever come off. I like that-- sometimes when I get a new gun im afraid to handle it because it feels like the paint will wear off in my hands (which has happened in the past); this gun doesn't do that.

The gun's size and weight are really good. Like most WE-Tech guns, it weighs accurately and feels like the real thing when you hold it. The lever release is a "polymer" button right above your right thumb that allows you to snap-forward the slide, really nice

The suppressor seems really cool. I am DELIGHTED to say that the suppressor FITS ANY WETECH GUN so if you dont already have one for your other WE-Tech pistols, this suppressor is interchangable. I haven't tried the barrel (thanks for the orange tip, we-tech) so i cant speak to that, but you can watch any plethora of online reviews to see how well that works; I believe them. My barrel shipped looking exactly like theirs, is smooth and doesnt wiggle.

"The metal frame, metal slide WE Makarov is a nice little pea shooter that is easily carried and has respectable power in stock trim.

Finish is a blued silver and well done. Hand grips are black plastic and comfortable. One not so comfortable thing is the trigger guard which has a hard edge and digs into my middle finger when my trigger finger is getting happy. I can only presume the real steel is the same in this regard.

Blowback is crisp and the bolt locks back reliably on the last shot. Magazine holds 16 rounds and easily empties all BBs with gas to spare. I have shot two mags plus on one gas fill with controlled shooting in a 60 degree indoor environment. I purchased two extra mags and all three are leak free.

The attraction of this weapon, for me, was the extended barrel and suppressor to cover it. Easily, and without tools, increase the power noticeably by screwing in the extended inner barrel into the permanent inner barrel. The suppressor screws into the outer barrel to cover the inner barrel, which has effectively been doubled in length. The suppressor can also be used without the extended inner barrel for the spy look. But holstering the weapon with the suppressor may be difficult...

Take down is different from any other pistol I have, but is not difficult. Read the instructions or search Youtube for videos on proper use of the gun as magazine removal is also different from most pistols out there.

The combination decocker/safety is a nice touch and works reliably, although I've noticed that it won't always function if the switch isn't pushed sharply. In other words, don't try to sneak up on it.

There was one defect on my specimen that deserves mention: the extended inner barrel (or possibly the permanent inner barrel) was machined improperly, resulting in the barrels being offset. This resulted in BBs being shaved and tremendous back-spin being applied. I carefully polished the extended inner barrel with fine emery cloth so the barrels mated evenly.

The WE Makarov is a nice pea shooter that I would recommend to anyone.

"Pros
- great feel
- extended barrel and mock suppressor are a great touch.
- reasonably accurate
- Mags are surprisingly able to hold enough gas for a mag and half worth of bbs.
- hop up (I think).

Cons
- terrible paint started to strip after less than ten mags being run through it.
- wobbly barrel (not terrible just annoying).
- hop u. Doesn't do much there is hop up on this gun rights on too of the barrel but it seems not to be very effective.
- mag lips are plastic this is not new for WE so just be careful.

Overall, most of the issues I have with this gun are not serious at all just me being a nit pick I would totally recommended this gun to someone interested as it offers a unique and affordable sidearm.

"Finally got the chance to try this one in-store thanks to Evike's friendly staff.

The full package comes with the gun with a glued on orange tip, one 16 BB magazine the same color as the gun, a twist-on barrel extension, and the mock suppressor.

Gun has no trademarks or markings of any kind, just a glossy black finish for the standard model, and a stainless steel finish on the silver model. The slide wobbles lightly with or without the extension, but is otherwise solid all around.

Main features include:

- Rubberized grip with thumb rests on both sides
- Safety switch with working decocker
- Double action trigger with very light pull
- Lanyard loop near magwell
- Non-adjustable unpainted sights
- Magazine release on the bottom (similar to the Ruger MK1)
- Double stack magazine (holds up to 16 BBs)
- Full metal build (includes the barrel extension set and mag)
- Very light weight (estimated to be less than 1.6 lbs with barrel extension attached)
- Two piece barrel extension that screws on and off easily
- No hop-up adjustment

The Makarov is of a similar size to the WE M84, measuring 6.6 inches in length (10.6 inches with the barrel extension) and 5 inches in height, with a width of 1.15 inches. The rubberized grip is very confortable thanks to the added thickness and thumb rests, though being a compact pistol the grip is pretty short.

Disassembly is very simple: just pull down the trigger guard, and pull the slide back to pop it off. All the internals are attached to the frame, leaving the slide as a hollow piece that just covers the moving parts.

FPS averages at 265 with a new green gas can and .2g BBs, but when the barrel extension is attached it jumps up to a powerful 361, with a high of 402 using .2g BBs. However, the lack of any hop-up adjustment leaves the max range to sit around 100-120 feet before a significant drop in the trajectory.

Magazines with a full charge warmed up to room temperature give only around 6-8 shots per magazine, making this particular model poorly gas efficient.

In design, the build is lightweight and simple, and the added barrel extension gives it Co2 level power without the added internal stress, but for practical use the low gas efficiency and lack of obvious hop-up make the WE Makarov a step below

"WE-Tech Russian PMM GBB Pistola. Is it great? Is it fantastico? Lets have a look as we delve right into this Review!!

First off, out of the box, its a beautiful replica, I must say. I noticed the slide has a nice finish to it. Is it the same finish as the infamous Russian made Baikal, 4.5mm Airgun?? Not even close, unfortunately. But.......those are extremely rare in the U.S. as they are actually made in Russia, not Taiwan, and they are made side by side with the Makarov firearm. It is very nice none the less. Its just not made of steel metal like
the Baikal airgun, & the firearm counterpart. However, it does manage to pop off some great shots. The accuracy is ok at best. Fun factor is pretty good.

Cons: I've had to return the gun because of 2 Fails. Defective parts. Made of Pot metal, the small internal parts that are under extreme stress & repetition are made of soft pot metal, so they break. 1). The slide lock/release is made in a poor like design, taking away from the user a useful thumb position. The lever that is attached, tends to bend/break. Just a poor design, and not like the counter part.
2. The mag release. This also, is poor in design. Metal is brittle, and breaks easily.

Pro's: Nice metal slide (maybe aluminum) and the cnc cut is nice. NIce finish. Gives off a loud "POP" sound when fired. Hand grip feels good in hand. Easy to load Mag.

Its a tad bit pricey for what it is. Replacement parts are not available,, neither does it have upgradable parts , Thats a total bummer because I like the gun, in addition, unfortunately, its not practical for gaming. A "collector" Piece more like.

"It was a great gun and I really enjoyed it right up until the plastic gas system inside the slide snapped randomly and rendered the gun entirely unusable about a week after I got it. I don't know if I got a lemon or if it is a particularly sensitive part that I somehow stressed by occasional plinking and gently resting the gun on either my bed or a pile of clothes but either way I have a dissapointing 150$ paper weight now.

"Just purchased this within the last week. Just opening the box and holding this, I can say that I was quite excited. It feels great in your hand and all the movements are crisp.

However, upon actually trying to shoot mine, I ran in to issues - it was incredibly hard to disassemble mine. After bulling down the trigger guard and removing the magazine to remove the slide, mine kept getting stuck on the loading nozzle. The slide, if I chose to keep trying to remove it, would have have to been forced. Not a good thing.

Another thing - my spare mag was leaking right out of the box. After semi-fixing that, I found that both magazines hold little to no air. I got 3 shots on both of my magazines before they were completely empty. I tried close to 10 times on each mag.

Last thing - if you plan to use the suppressor attachment that comes with this to cover the extended inner barrel, don't buy from Evike. How are you supposed to use the suppressor when Evike sends you a PMM that has an orange plastic tip securely glued to the threads where this suppressor attaches? False advertising if you ask me.

GOOD for the looks and the feel.

BAD for everything else.

"I was really happy with this pistol when I recived it, sadly thought its performance is extremely lacking.
The magazine that came with the gun and the extras I ordered bearly held enough gas to fire 3 shots and on top of that the gass nozzle broke off on the first game making the gun completely unusable. Do not buy this gun. I'm extremely disappointed with WE and I doubt I will ever purchase another one of ther guns l.
