"Shattered my stock plastic hop up after installing high speed gears and a piston tune up, but this thing is still kicking. Upgraded everything in my gearbox and no signs of damage to the unit so far.

"This hop up unit works very well, it does not change setting due to heavy firing and is much less susceptible to damage as is the plastic unit. However this unit does not "drop in" the older ICS rifles, depending on the age of the gun some tweaking of the spring length will be required to get the upper gear box to fit properly. Speaking of the spring, the new over the outer barrel design is far superior to the older "ball point pen" style spring of older design because it does not deform like the older one was prone to do. All and all a worth while upgrade.

"This is not the hop up unit used in the ICS Sportline M4 Pistol. I bought this because my plastic stock hop up broke only after two times using the gun, and I didn't want another plastic one. I have never seen a hop up unit break so quick. It does not fit, it is missing the original spring and guide hole for it, (compare the two pictures) I guess I am stuck with another plastic one, just wasted money on return shipping.
