" Despite the pictured product, on my vest the main pocket and the the small zippered pocket face down. When worn they both open downward, which is odd and makes it difficult to keep the contents from dumping out. If you're just using it for storage it's fine but if you're looking to use it the heat of battle this may not be the best. The whole thing is stitched well and is secure.
