"Warning comes with a plastic flashider and non standard barrel threads, the nut is metal so keep it and order a new M14 flashider.

"I modified this gun to snipe with. I dropped in a 6.01, m145 spring and used an 11.1V lipo. The gearbox is super beefy and could probably handle the m150 spring.
I was surprised that with stock gears this thing not only fires just fine, it actually fired full auto......What? It was an accident.
Disabling full auto is super easy, requiring you to remove only one screw and a small metal part, which takes only a couple minutes to do.
fast forward 3 years, and that m145 spring is pushing about 450 FPS. I now use it as a DMR.
This gun is quiet, thanks to a quality shimmed gearbox.
The detail is almost perfect.
It's cumbersome and heavy, but this is an M14, not an MP5. Just expect it.
PROs
- quality parts and finish
- solid build
- beefy gearbox
- great as sniper or DMR
CONs
- proprietary parts are difficult to upgrade or replace (eg, cylinder heads)
- the hot swapable spring is not exactly easy to swap
- when firing, the motor sometimes knocks inside the stock.

"Just got this rifle for my son, it's his first high end DMR, researched forums up and down before we made the decision to go with this one. I am definitely impressed. First we were able to get it from Evike for a great deal, they had it as an epic deal with 2 extra mags (80rd wish they were 470 but oh well still free), scope mount, and holo red/green dot sight. The extras would add up to an additional 60-70 so a great deal. I bought a 9.6v 4000mah it fits nicely in stock, and after reading up on this gun we also bought ,28g G&G Bio bb's. We ran first the 20's that came with the gun adjusting the hopup and at 75ft they were pretty good, then we ran a mag with the 28's and WOW, even on full auto they looked like a white line streaming thru the air hitting dead on. I don't have a chrono so can't tell you speeds. I did take the gear box apart to clean out the factory grease on all parts, and applied silicone grease, to my amazement the gears were already shimmed.

"I recently received my G&G M14 veteran from Evike, and it has not failed to impress me yet. It is shooting over 400 fps with a 9.6 volt battery while using 0.3 bbs. with groupings in the size of a 3x3 circle at 100+ feet. It IS made from real wood, and if i saw someone running at me with it, i'd be running for the hills.
Pros
Made from real wood
Bolt works like a real M14 bolt
Battery Compartment is big enough for a 9.6.
Shoots over 400 with 0.3's
Has a realistic Weight to it.
AMAZING accuracy
Cons
The heat guard over the top of the barrel is made of plastic
Overall, this gun is literally, the nicest airsoft gun i've ever shot. end of story.

"Ive had this rifle for quite awhile now and it has never failed to impress me. With an 8.4 3600 it shoots 420fps with .20 bbs. The stock is solid and adds alot of wieght to the gun. I personally prefer a hefty weapon over the light wieghts. Just to sum up this is an excellent m14 with alot of range and accuracy great buy.
