"I purchased the KWA AKR-74M ERG 2 weeks ago. I also purchased extra magazines ( 400 rd Hi capsx3 and 120 rd mids x2 3 packs)directly from KWA's Pro Shop.
Using a tiny 7.4 v 1100 lipo and I am hitting man sized targets w/ .30 gram bb's in excess of 200+ feet away with coffee cup circumference grouping and superb accuracy .
Auto is fantastic but this aeg excels in semi.
Pick up some extra mags and you'll be golden for any mil sim event.
This was made for an 11.1 15c lipo, so my Raptor 7.4 v 1100 15 c is under powering it and still.... it performs incredibly.
Last weekend i went head to head with a E& L Gen 2 AK and it ended in a draw. They were evenly matched. Just saying!
With that said...

This AK is the BOMB!!! Plain and simple.
Buy one .. you wont regret it!

"I acquired my KWA AKR-74M in the mail today (6/24/2016) and so far it is an extremely solid gun. First, the gun has an extremely solid build on the outside. The receiver, and barrel are metal while the stock, handguard, pistol grip and mag are all extremely solid polymer. There's absolutely no wobble on this gun, the gun is satisfying to hold and even more satisfying to fire. That brings me to my next point, the internals. The internals on this gun are very good. I have a Tenergy 11.1V 1000mAh 20C stick type battery and the trigger response is snappy. The rate of fire with my battery is upwards of 20rps. There is, however, a drawback to this gun. Along with this I ordered 10 Matrix AK74 Midcaps. These, however, do not fit in this gun. I talked to a person from KWA and they told me the extra mags (The AK60, AK120, and AK400) will all be released next week on the kwa website. So for those looking to buy this gun in the future, make sure you buy the KWA mags. This gun is overall an extremely good gun for the price, especially with the recoil and cutoff features. KWA really knocked it out of the park with this one.

The recoil is great, but definitely not as powerful as a TM recoil shock or Bolt... but it's enough to be satisfying

The two main draw backs I found were the scope mount and magazine compatibility

The scope mount rail seems to be thinner than what most AK style mounts would fit on. I have tried a few mount and either they wobble, or are lop-sided and your sight may not be level with the gun/barrel

I have also tried 7 different magazine styles/brands and only one of them fit (besides the default KWA ones)

Great gun, but if you can find someone who has one, see if your mags or scope mount will work on it before you buy. I have yet to find a reliably brand that will fit
