PTS Griffin Armament Modular Back Up Iron Sight Set (Front & Rear) is an accurate replica of the original and Griffin Armaments first ever, patent pending modular base plate system. These low profile sights can be mounted in the standard 12 oclock position on a rifle or can be reconfigured into left or right side 45 degree angle sights using the ambidextrous angle plates that are included in the modular system set. Both the front and rear sights utilize a robust spring tension to ensure a highly durable and repeatable flip up mechanism whilst the front sight also features an elevation adjustment.

"Quality sight, solidly built, fit and finish is great, surprisingly light weight. BUT the grub screws are off spec! I tried 3 different sets of high quality hex keys with various sizes but none would fit snugly. I managed to sort of get a fit with the round end of a 2.5 key, but you have to work around it a bit. Otherwise, you would need some shims with a 2.0 key, or buy new screws. What a shame... how could you mess up the simple grub screw?

"These sights are okay. I took them off in favor of much cheaper sights that do a much better job. The rear sight is hard to focus on because of the narrow frame and small aperture.

Pros:
-comes with 45 degree mounts
-very well made

Cons:
-Doesn't feel right when using. It's really hard to focus through the rear sight
-Not spring loaded
-Mounting is done by sliding it on from the very end of the rail
-Only 300m aperture for rear sight.

Overall there are better sights out there for less than half the cost.
