*Optic not includedThe newest evolution of the G&G Combat Machine line up takes all the standard features that everyone has come to know and respect from the Combat Machine line and improves upon it by offering upgrades and modifications that are never seen at such a low price point, and yet done to such a high level of quality. The GC16 offers an entirely redesigned polymer receiver, borrowing from the ever popular billet style that has been seen more and more in the firearms world. Other improvements include and ambidextrous magazine release, ambidextrous mock charging handle, metal keymod handguard and a selector switch with a heavy duty detent that gives the user tactile feedback when changing fire modes. While the GC16 Predator knocks other AEGs in its price range out with its agressive styling, it's whats on the inside that counts most. Installed from the factory is a MOSFET, allowing the user to use LiPo batteries without worrying about damaging the gun and a programmable fire control which allows the shooter to choose either full-auto fire , or three round burst fire modes. "In this review I will give the GOOD, THE BAD, and THE UGLY
THE GOOD - This is an awesome gun, hands down one of the best looking guns on the market. It feels wonderful in your hands, the polymer may as well be metal in my book, very solid. Love the stock style - as long as you are ok with adjusting the mosfet a little you can easily get your battery in hear, other people just are complainers about battery space but it will totally fit if you do a little adjusting. You don't want your battery with lots of wiggle room anyways because of noise. Shoots great! Great hop-up adjustment ability, used with both a LIPO and regular battery and the LIPO definitely adds to rate of fire. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ability to switch between 3 round burst and full auto - SOO COOL.
THE BAD - I actually have bought 2 of these, the first was a lemon but I got a full refund. On the second gun the stock came wobbily and the barrel was actually 1 cm to the left of dead center. Both were adjustable and fixable after some simple work, but come on, if I am buying a $265 gun it should be ready to go right? When using a LIPO the handle (motor) can get hot, but it has not gotten to bad for me, only when practice shooting and unloading mag after mag. Never in a game.
The motor can become unattached from the wiring, which is what happened on my lemon gun. It is easy to fix, but kind of a pain. So you may have to open up your handle and make sure the wires are attached firmly.
THE UGLY - YOU HAVE TO USE A 11.1 LIPO FOR THIS GUN - TRUST ME. The MOSFET will cut out if anything drops below a 7v charge. So if you use a 9.6 battery if it drops in 30% charge the MOSFET will turn off the gun. Seriously. I have read dozens of reviews on other sites and people always have the problem of the gun randomly dying after a few hours.... its because of this. YOU HAVE TO USE A LIPO or you won't get much play. Others have said a regular battery will also lock up the gearbox, not sure if that's true but with all the problems I had with a regular battery I would totally believe it. So you need to plan on buying a 11.1V lipo.
OVERALL - GREAT GUN - I love it and would buy it again and again, just use a LIPO, be willing to make some easy adjustments, and check to make sure the cables are firmly attached to the motor (this check takes 30 seconds). Great gun, looks AWESOME, shoots AWESOME, feels AWESOME, - love it!
