"Great AK, stock internals were ok but it was very easy to upgrade. As others have noticed the flash hider was very difficult to remove and I ended up having to replace the outer barrel after I sheared off the threads removing the flash hider. External quality is very good and wears well.

"The gun works very well, but the flash hider is extremely difficult to twist and I haven't been able to take it off completely, I would like to know how to take it completely off.

"Quick conclusion: After owning well over 20 different airsoft guns and teching for a while, this is one of the only new airsoft guns that I didnt really find any major flaws in out of the box - except for that the battery space is a bit narrow (but long at least) .
Gearbox: I dissassembled the gun on the first day I got it to inspect the internals. I was surprised to see a type 0 cylinder (no ports or holes) for the given barrel length. Typically those cylinders are used for longer barrels, but it should be fine, not that big of a deal. I used it for my rpk. The aoe was not correct, but its almost never correct out of the box for any new gun, so no worries, just cut the second tooth on the piston and add a sorbo or something to move the piston back. Gears were fine, compression was ok, has a metal bearing spring guide if I remember correctly. Metal bushings. Not a bad gearbox! Selector gear was plastic, so dont go ham on the selector switch.
Externals: Amazing! VFC style using pins. Mostly made of steel (checked with magnet), and plastic furniture feels like good quality. Stock is sturdy, hopup chamber is metal. Charging handle does sometimes catch on to the hopup adjustment, but I just grind down the hopup tab a bit so it doesnt touch it. Weight is perfect. Mag is plastic and lighter than my other 5.45 style mags (for ak74), but feeds actually quite well.
Try heavy bbs, it likes them better (at least .25s will do). Dont use .20s, they tend to either be overhopped or underhopped. Be cautious of the battery space, its long but narrow, barely fit my 7.4v lipo battery. Believe me, after changing my loadout a buch of times, out of all guns ive owned, the ak platform is the most practical - mags hold a ton of ammo, strong body that is durable, cheap compared to m4s, v3 gearbox which is more durable, and feels like a real gun in your hands. But buy whatever platform you like, the ak is just my favorite so far.Awesome rifle, definitely keeping it as a lender gun for friends!

"This was bought for my wife as her first AEG. Her first ever airsoft experience was a 40hr MILSIM WEST event. Surge on the Steeps. This AEG performed and ran hard all weekend on a single titan stick battery. The Titan battery only fits under the dust cover, not down the battery tube.
She used the CYMA clear mid cap Bulgarian mags.
You have to watch the hop up adjustment. After you adjust it and close the gun it can push it all the way forward.

"Absolutely love this gun. It's very solid, my first game out with this AK and I took a fall face first causing me to fling my rifle a good 5 feet, ran over to it and picked it up. Nothing broke or even scratched. Along with the rifle made decent it feels fantastic, the folding stock is easy to fold and stays in place once locked into place. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Now, with that being said onto the things I don't like about the gun. One thing I have noticed about this rifle is that the battery is wired via the top where the dust cover is, sometimes when the battery is in and the dust cover is on and you slide the charging handle back to adjust your hop-up and then you slide the charging handle forward there's a good chance it'll mess up your hop up. It's an extremely tight fit with the battery. I'm using a 8.4 stick type, unsure of how other battery's will affect this. Another thing that happened to me is that the magazine it came with stopped working after a little, when winding the magazine it doesn't load the BB's into the gun at all. Oh and the fake cleaning rod it came with is a little annoying in my opinion so I took it off when I noticed it.
So long story short:
Pro's:
1. Gun is made reliably.
2. Gun feels solid, doesn't feel cheap and you can tell it's made with metal.
3. Nothing with my gun was loose, shaky, or non-sturdy.
Con's:
1. With a battery in the rifle, dust cover on, and you go to change your hop up the charging handle may mess with the hop up when being pushed forward.
2. The magazine the rifle came with ended up not working after a little however I managed to get 3-4 days worth of games with it before it stopped working.
3. Cleaning rod in the gun is annoyed. (Could or could not be a con for you however I don't enjoy it.)

"I must say this gun out of the box, is an exceptionally well built rifle. bought it a few months ago. The only complaints I have about this gun is I can't figure out how to get to the gearbox to upgrade it, and Cyma putting the excessive and unnecessary amount of glue on the flash hider, but that's just Cyma. Externals are amazing, being made out of steel, this is definitely not going to go down anytime soon. I currently have a tritium night sight, tracer unit, and a strobe, as I like playing Night time ops. Sling mounts aren't going to break, but do be weary of the rear sling mount as it's a cowbell if shaking around too much.

"I got one with a bad dust cover. They replaced it right away and love the gun shots really good too.

"Bought this gun about 6 months ago. Use it on average twice a week. This gun is amazing. Hits hard with .25g bb's. I wouldnt use .20g bb's the lowest i used is .23 and those are a little inaccurate. The body is solid metal except for the grip, flash hider. The flash hider snapped off after I dropped my gun one game. So I bought a mock silencer. The magazine is a decent size. I would say around 600 rounds. I carry 2 with me. The fuse is easy to get to also. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. THE SCOPE I BOUGHT WAS $30.00 AND THE MOUNT WAS $30.00, THE MAGAZINE WAS ONLY $15.00.

"4 Stars because normal AK handguards do not fit this. DO NOT TRY, the handguard is not identical to the real weapon. ex: MOE, Zenitco. Other than that. AK is fine. AK never not shoot.

"This is my follow up gearbox review on the gun. After figuring out how to remove the gearbox and go into it, I can give better internal internal info on the gun. Starting with this... The gearbox shell seems to be good quality, some kind of standard black painted metal that mostly all gearboxes are. The gears are standard but strong, I'm pretty sure that they're 18:1 ratio or something standard like that. The piston is a standard CYMA one, being made out of a durable polycarbonate material, it only has one steel tooth but it's still strong nonetheless. The piston head is also polycarbonate, is decently ported, but mine had a rather small o-ring (which results in not so great compression between the piston and cylinder). You can stretch it out over something to make it bigger, or just go with a #14 o-ring which can usually be found at a hardware store. The silver cylinder is excellent quality, being made out of steel I think, and it is not ported. The cylinder head is a standard polycarbonate CYMA one, has ok compression, and has one o-ring. The air nozzle is the only kind of sub par component in the gearbox as it's some kind of clear polycarb material and doesn't have an inner o-ring, but an upgrade one can be bought for like $8 or something. The spring guide is a strong metal and has 3 bearings on it, which makes it rather hard to push the spring back in. The spring is a stiff M120 which can also be hard to push back into the piston when reassembling. The anti reversal latch, tappet, tappet spring, trigger set, and trigger springs are all good quality, and don't need any upgrades. Oh, and the trigger contacts are ok, I haven't really messed with those much and I think they'll be fine.
Overall, all I would really recommend upgrading would be the air nozzle for better compression and durability, and maybe a weaker spring if you want to have an easier time reassembling the gearbox. I bought an M110 Matrix spring, and I must say that it's even stiffer, longer and harder to put back in than my stock M120, you may want to go with like an M100 of a different brand for a spring downgrade. You may also want to re shim the gears, which isn't really all that hard, and re grease everything with Teflon grease to make everything run smoothly. So that's my run down of the internals, they're overall very good for the relatively low price of the gun, and they need little to no upgrades. They should do you well and perform pretty well, CYMA VFC clones are the way to go. Hope this helped...

"I got this gun about a month ago, and I must say that it performs pretty darn well for the low price of $136. The best feature about this gun are probably the externals; the metal is mostly steel, with nice quality polymer hand guards and a polymer motor grip. Hits pretty hard with .2s, about 390-410 FPS; with .25s, the FPS is like 370-385. Stock, the accuracy is pretty nice and can probably go to about 150-170 feet accurately in regards to hitting a man sized target, maybe even a little further idk. The stock mag isn't bad, feeds well, and has a nice finish to it. The gun itself is fairly compact, and still has a decent length ~400mm stock inner barrel. The folding stock is also steel, durable, and the hinge/latch that holds it in place is pretty strong as well. My main issue with this gun is that the V3 gearbox seems to have been jammed in really hard into the lower receiver of the gun, and it doesn't seem to want to come out, although it moves up and down if you push/pull on it. Idk, it may just be my gun, I don't know if this is standard for all AKs, it may just be a thing of applying more force to the gearbox.
Upgrades I made to this gun are simple things just due to my gearbox not wanting to come out easily, which include G&G Green Bucking, a Matrix 370mm 6.03 inner barrel, and Angel Custom H-Nubs. The gun is very accurate to about 150 feet with .25s, but then goes a tad to the right after that distance. With the black H-Nub, the gun shoots very far to well past 250 feet, although it probably won't hit much effectively at this distance. I have not tried out the white (clear) nub yet, as this one is claimed to offer better accuracy over range.
Pros:
-Excellent externals, especially for the fairly low price
-Metal hop up unit (Zinc Alloy I think)
-Folding stock that won't break on you or snap off
-Rather compact, M4 length, but still has a good sized ~400mm long inner barrel
-Pretty accurate and has a good range, although the bbs seem to curve a tiny bit to the right after about 150 feet.
-Shimming seems alright, doesn't sound like a train screeching its wheels when it's shooting.
-Unique look for an AK, sets you aside from the vast sea of M4s.
-Balanced weight, does not feel front heavy and weighs less than my brother's AK-74u
-Since it's a VFC clone, not Tokyo Marui, the take-down is not that hard to do, and is quite alright once you've figured it out.
Cons:
-DOES NOT come with battery, buy a stick type for this.
-Came in some lame box without any marking or labels or zip ties, but this is hardly a con lol
-My gun's gearbox seems to not want to come out of the lower receiver, hopefully I can fix this in the future.
-Stock wobbles a bit from side to side, but it isn't too noticeable, is to be expected, and isn't really much of a con.
-The sights kinds suck imo, but that's standard with all AKs, and a scope mount+red dot should make aiming easier
-Hard to understand manual it comes with lol.
Overall, this is a very nice gun that will serve you well and make you happy to own it. I would strongly recommend this gun as a beginner or intermediate gun. If you are to do upgrades, do them wisely, and you will be very content with this gun.
