"If you just want a fiber optic front sight, this is really good. The filler rods are really clear. It provides a bright focal point. I just needed a small amount of filing to get a nice fit. This is a great value. docB

"Performance : The APS Fiber Optic front sight is really good step up to the TM HICAPA 5.1 stock sight. The original sight has a painted white dot that your eye does not easily snap to . The Fiber Optic sight captures your eye and makes it much easier to realign with the post sight and take the next shot.
Installation : The absence of instructions makes it hard to make sense of what to do. The package is just a plastic bag with the front sight and 2 colored Fiber Optic sight (Pink and Yellow). First Step : Pick whichever color you like. Second : Insert the colored rod into the metal sight. Third : Grab a lighter and slightly burn one end. It will become larger and to big ro slide out of the sight. Fourth : Using scissors, cut the rod and 1/8th of and inch from the other side. Burn the rest. This will prevent the rod from sliding out. Fifth : (THIS ONLY APPLIES TO TM, I DONT KNOW ABOUT ANY OTHER HICAPA 5.1) Grab a punch or flat piece of metal and knock out the stock sight. It only goes one way, the manual should say which. After, simply insert the knew sight. If put in the right way, it will stay.
