G&P XM177E2 Airsoft AEG Rifle w/ i5 Gearbox (Package: Add Battery + Charger)

"I've been using this aeg as my primary for almost 5 years now. It was my first G&P AEG, I've had no issues with it. Didn't realize it was wired to deans(lol I called evike looking for the battery connector in the handguard, only for them to tell me it's in the buffer tube).

Pros:
-Build quality: sturdy, trademarks and logos are thoughtfully placed, what should be metal, is, what should be plastic, is, it comes with a blacked out version of the iconic "megaphone" flash hider that makes this rifle so recognizable.

Performance:
-incredibly accurate for an SBR, using .25s, I can hit targets out to 60+ yards.
-Lipo-ready
-Gearbox is solid
-Pretty tolerant of most midcap/hicap mags I've used.
-Fps is a consistent 365 with .25 bbs.


Cons:
-Occasionally the gearbox will lock up on semi(average occurrences are maybe twice a game, just flip the selector switch to auto, shoot off a few rounds, and it will unlock).

- The deans connector was wired to a small type male(maybe it's just me, but all my batteries are large-type deans). Ended up soldering a large type connector to the rifle.

Other than that, it's been a great, reliable rifle.

"Love it. Super handy, lightweight, chronographed at 365FPS with .25g BBs, and ran all day with a 1400mAh 7.4v LiPo. Included mid-cap is decent enough, but I supplemented it with four additional G&P midcaps (20rd "Vietnam" style that fits this gun better than the later 30rd style mags). Get a set of M1956 web gear and some jungle fatigues (or tigerstripe) and you're set.

Evike's description is well written and historically accurate (rarity for most airsoft vendors) and the buying experience was easy and pleasant.
