"I just bought this gun last week and it is only my second air soft rifle ever. I am absolutely thrilled with it in all ways; FPS, sturdy weight, ROF and overall quality. I paired it with LIPoLY and smart charger. Worked great after a quick charge. Needed a slight aim adjustment as it shot high out of the box but easily adjusted. The gun has a great feel to it and truly looks as if most anything on it could be reppaired or replaced if ever needed. Mag fit and function was perfect. Came with a tested tag signed by Evikes verifying function and FPS test, which I appreciated. Can't say enough about realistic looks, feel and fit.
So far it has been awesome. Hope to put 1,000 through it this weekend.
Buy the small batt plug to large unit plug adapter if you get the LIPoLY battery set up.
Super fast shipping. Ordered late Monday , delivered by Friday.

"shoots very consitent out shoots my other age's never had problems with the mag feed every bb and stopped on the last shot. i would say to use elite force bbs because the mags are very strange. the a&k mags fit seamlessly. only complaint is the mag release needs to be worked in and no sling points
i give it a 10/10

"Great gun that is 100% compatible with my Systema PTW. The rate of fire is a bit slower than the PTW, motor not as good, but then again, it is not $1200 like the Systema.

pro:
Not $1200
Systema compatible 99%

"So far I;ve put about 2K total rounds through it, so still early in its life. that being said, I've already surpassed the life I've seen on some A&K PTWs. A few of the others I've known running this gun has burnt out the electronics within a couple mags. My electronics are still stock, hop is set perfectly for .28s, and shoots laser beams. My first real upgrade is going to be a new motor, the trigger response is good but could be better i think.

Only serious issue I've had so far is i had to cut off the delta ring off. Seriously what a complete pain it was, i stripped every tooth on the stock delta ring with an armorer's wrench to get it off it just wouldn't budge. Eventually i gave in a just dremeled it straight through on both sides and pulled it off. After that my madbull DD block II ris dropped in perfectly. Also when i received the gun, the buffer tube was CROOKED! It was mis-threaded into the receiver, it took me an hour or so to figure out how to loosen it and straighten it. just an annoyance but could have been MUCH worse if threads were stripped. It was shooting ~420 with .2 ootb, changed out the spring for an SHS m110, brought it down to ~380.

PROS
Good trigger response/ would be better with new motor
1:1 body is great for real feeling/ parts fitment.
stops shooting on empty mag is a cool feature.
overall great range and accuracy stock

CONS: (Could have been lemon)
CROOKED BUFFER TUBE
Could not remove delta ring without destroying it

TL:DR 4/5
Overall a fantastic rifle, insanely accurate out of the box. watch out for crooked buffer tubes and other external imperfections, your electronics may fry at any point. If you're going to go the A&K route just be prepared to drop a few hundred $ in upgrades/ replacement parts (eventually)

"Cut to the chase, it's not a bad starter for the TW platform. I bought mine second hand, so there were some problems that weren't common with new ones. But I'm gonna address some problems that I see most come with. One big issue with mine was buffer tube shimming. I received the gun, and the cylinder was able to move about half an inch inside the receiver. I had to remove the buffer tube cap, twist the buffer tube at least once and remove one or two of the metal shims. That fixed the problem and wasn't too hard to do. As long as you don't cut your wires (there's a lot) you'll be fine.
Another problem is the wiring. The wiring to where the battery connects is pretty crappy, it bends and gets pinched easily. It also comes with a LARGE type tamiya out of the box, and the wiring is pretty long as well.
Lastly, a big problem are the cylinders. The one I use likes to loosen the nozzle after 50 or so shots, not hard to fix, just open the receivers and pull the cylinder out, then tighten the nozzle until there's no gap. But make sure it DOES NOT get shot into your hopup. Mine did this, the nozzle lodged into the hopup, forcing me to use an unjamming rod to push it out and reattach. It's probably worth it to buy a systema hopup and cylinders.
After these fixes, it performs great. Just don't bother using anything lower than an 11.1v on it. It's a great way to get started into the TW platform without breaking the bank.
Pros:
Cheap
Mags are SUPER cheap compared to systema
Parts are generally cheaper
Cons:
Can't usually mix systema parts with stock A&K ones
A&K hopup isn't compatible with systema cylinders, vise versa
Problems stated above.

All in all, good "starter" gun. Don't get if you don't like to maintain your gun a lot.

"I picked this gun up when its 199 and i think its a good deal
first impression
this gun looks cheap, out the box the hand guard looks cheap, the stock looks cheap, the body looks cheap, but its really solid. Outer barrel is steel i love it. The grip is sorta uncomfortable and slim nut after remove the finger grove everything feels fine.
After one day of use
First time i shoot this, the gun wont feed with valken bbs and the bb will break in the barrel or drop to the ground after 1feet. So i tried some elite force .32, the gun works flawlessly. I cut about 3 loops of the spring and the gun still shoots 410, which is surprisingly high. The gun will not work on 9.6 unless you cut the spring. So if you want keep the spring for a high fps, do pick up some lipos. Gear box is cnced and its surprisingly good. Hop up is really strong and the range is really good for a stock gun that is $200. Rof isnt high but acceptable, trigger response is good, it also have a mosfet in it. But there is one thing that annoy me, the magazine will only fit in around 80 even it suopose to fit 120. The spring will jam in every turn and causing feeding problem, so tr to lube the mag before you go to the field. And a qucok fix that might not work is take the mag out and hit it on the gun hard, that might shake the spring back to normal. So pick some extral mags before you field with this gun. The follower will fall out so considering buying some MAG replacement.

So if you want a cheap ptw to start with and uograde it, get this

"absolutely loved this gun! Great right out of the box. It had the most flat trajectory i have every seen and has a great fps and rate of fire for playing in the woods. Only problems are that they selector switch is rough after some use and the cylinder broke after a month due to factory cross threading. Probably only my problem though. I just bought a new cylinder because it is totaly worth it.
Pros- Great fps, interchangeable cylinder for fast fps swaps, realistic weight, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TRIGGER RESPONSE, shooting cut off when out of ammo, mags are only $15 (they are really sturdy mags), 99% systema compatible, exterior build sturdy, and the flattest hopup trajectory out there (even more than any sniper i've ever seen.
Cons- Selector switch degrades quickly (still usable but not great), cylinders are made with questionable quality (again, I don't know if this is a just mine problem or not), and does not take other m4 mags (but for a good reason though)
Overall- I would recomend this gun to intermediate to advanced players, but not for Novices, Due to the specific parts associated with this gun.

"Shoots very hot out of the box, being a polarstar user mainly, I find the rof of ~15 to be wimpy. Upgrades aren't mandatory, down grades are though. You will have to cut the cylinder spring down. Not a big deal but works. USES LARGE TYPE TAMIA CONNECTOR get deans.

"Well I bought this in hopes it would work fine till I had to upgrade it but... It's already a piece of garbage. Idk why but I can't even get one bb to feed properly without it chopping a bb I have spoken to every one on the PTW forums, A&K PTW Facebook page but no one knows what the issue is and honestly I'm about to give up and sell it and cut my loses. Other then that the trigger response it amazing, the gun feels nice, very solid but to bad I can't use it.

"Well I ordered mine and the two wires connecting the mosfet to the lower reciever have been cut it looks like and I nobody in my area seems to know how to fix it so basically threw 200$ away
