LCT CNC Aluminum Railed Gas Tube for AK Series AEG Rifles (Model: Medium)

"So I was curious and weighed this railed gas tube and its mounting hardware, and it came to 136 grams. I weighed the original gas tube with the polymer heatshield from my LCT 74MN and it also came out to 136 grams. So, 5 stars for not adding to the already front-heaviness of AKs.

I installed this in conjunction with a 5KU VS-24 handguard on my LCT AK74MN. I did not have to modify or shim either component with electrical tape to fit. This railed gas tube clamps solidly on to my replica, and I'm very happy with it. I'm using it to mount a pressure pad.

"Got this for an older Cyma AKS74U with the wooden furniture, and it fits like a charm, no modifications needed. So yes, these are Cyma spec. Actually completely solved my front sight post/gas block wobble.

As for the bad news, all I got us that you'll no longer be able to fit a large stick type battery into the gas tube, but my 8.4v NIMH fits under the dust cover with charging handle movement clearance.

Definitely a excellent choice if you plan to securely mount an optic on your 74U without losing the ability to fully fold the stock. Also looks great.

"little front to back play on my LCT but it is a non issue with the securing method. Maintains a nice, low, mounting position for optics.
