"Best Acetech tracer unit I have ever used, hands down. Use it with ASG red BBs, and they come out really bright! Used it for several nights of CQB in a row on one charge. Fits well on EMG/Knights Armament PDW and looks fantastic

"Very nice KAC replica. Little shorter than the real one I think. Works well with my PTW and keeps up. Bought this to help when training with night vision since I use airsoft for training (much easier at night than live rounds).
You could remove the tracer unit and fill it with foam (cut 1/4" pieces and insert them 1/4" apart - works well with HPA rifles and shorter AEGs/PTWs that have a snap at the muzzle). Very good for training too as we can see our shots and replicate our rifle lengths. Charging system is nice - no batteries to purchase. The front unscrews so it's easy to get to.

"I bought mine about a year or so ago and love it , it looks good on most guns and works great, probably the most effective tracer

"this tracer unit is a must have for night games. the green bb's glow bright with the uv light and the red bb's still glow but much dimmer but this is great for keeping everyone else from tracking your shots. reds are best used with night vision devices for this tracer unit.
the tracer opens up from the front so you can pull out the battery and electronics. this is actually great if you want to use the hollow area as a suppressor for GGB rifles or you could remove the front cap and use the empty space to make your shots sound louder as a makeshift amplifier. the tracer unit keeps up with 30rps no problem and i suspect even faster builds despite what is advertised.
using the QD makes removal of the tracer unit much quicker for transitions from night to daytime games. the QD mounting does have a little play but not enough to cause any problems. I fixed the back and forth play with a little bit of electric tape although the tracer unit does still have some rotation play about 1-2mm so that's that.
so far this one seems like a step up from the fixed acetech 1000 and i like the new look.

"There's a bit of wobble between the suppressor and cover, but nothing egregious (1-2mm or so back and forth, may be the case on real ones). On some barrels you may not be able to align the QD up like it should be without keeping the threads a bit loose. There is a set screw, but be aware that it can eat into outer barrels with weaker threads.

AceTech suppressor included is excellent. It has an arrow for BB travel, but works just fine either way. You can easily move it to the middle or the front of the suppressor, and the spring inside can be removed if you want to foam fill.

Flash hider is 50mm long, and barrel (from start of threads, not end) to the start of the tracer is max 95mm, if you want to consider using this to fit longer barrels.

"Ordered this internationally and had no problems receiving it in a timely manner. The tracer unit itself works perfectly. The manual states that it only works with green tracer BBS, but I’m sure it works with red as well. The suppressor itself has a bit of play when attached to the provided flash-hider, other than that. It works and looks great.

Pros: looks and works great

Cons: price. Wiggle room on flash-hider.

"This is a terrible tracer for how much money it costs. It's almost like whoever designed it didn't anticipate it being used at night against people.

First of all, there's a green LED that blinks INSIDE the chamber of the unit. This LED doesn't time out, it just blinks the entire time. So if you're pointing your rifle at someone in the dark, you bet they can see this thing blinking at them. And another thing, what idiot put the power indicator inside the chamber? So if you want to check if it's on you have to look down the barrel? Stupid.

The instructions say it has different power levels, but it doesn't. It has ON and OFF. And btw it shuts off after 40 minutes of non-use and to turn it back on you have to hit the button, which you have to remove the endcap to get to. So hope you aren't in the field at night doing nothing for 41 minutes, because when the enemy finally attacks, your tracer won't help you and will need to be disassembled.

Now this might not be a problem for a lot of players, but night vision is getting more popular in a lot of areas. So here's the real kicker about this unit: The light gate that this unit uses to sense the BB entering is an IR LED. That's right! This unit is essentially an IR beacon to anyone with night vision. It looks like a small dim flashlight when you look at it through NODs. Oh and that flashing green LED is like 10 times worse through night vision.

These things really break my heart because cosmetically it is gorgeous and looks great on a rifle. When the unit operates the tracers look like lasers, it's impressive. It was just designed in the most counter-intuitive way imaginable is all. So as much as it pains me I have to give this thing a 2/5.
