"Love this gun Its a great gun for beginners! first time I shot it, it put out 360 FPS on the chrono with .20 g bbs. Just bought a inner barrel and bucking and will see how that changes!
Tip: If you get the black version which is the Tamiya style connector. It is actually deans with a tamiya adapter so you can use dean style batteries on this!

"Great gun! Love the look and the feel of it, I use it at my local indoor arena and I don’t have any problems worrying about my fps (chronos around 340). This is a great starter rifle and I recommend for anyone getting into the hobby or even looking for a good backup rifle.

"Best gun for starts the only con is the Hi-Cap but that’s not a very big deal because it’s really easy t fix

"There's something about the feel of the g&g polymer bodies that they perfected. I made a custom build, with siegeteks and a retro arms gb, but when I needed a base gun I grabbed this. I can't speak for the stock performance because I swapped the gearbox, but the body feels so good. It's like the perfect balance of weight, heavy enough to not feel cheap but light enough to not feel overly cumbersome. The ambi release is a great touch too.

"If your getting into airsoft and you need a good gun I highly recommend this one. The first thing is that it is super customizable. And when you first get it it's still a great gun. when I play with this gun I'm always out shooting the competition. I only had 2 little problems with the gun and they were that the mag it comes with is not the best, and the stock wiggles. However the gun is worth every penny. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

"Wonderful AEG. Very accurate and with an 11.1v lipo, the trigger response get even better. I changed the spring to a M115 and it's EVEN better now.
Only con is that the plastic seems to be a little cheaper than the V1 CM16 Raider. I do own both FYI. Not a huge deal, but something to be noted.
5 stars for sure, despite the cheap-ish plastic. It's perfectly acceptable for what you pay. Once again, great job G&G!

"Really happy with this AEG right out the box! The iron sights were surprisingly accurate. The gun felt a lot heavier than I expected being this my first AEG, so take what you will. The black model actually comes with Dean's plugs with a Small Tamiya Plug adapter attached, so my Dean's LiPo was plug'n'play!

"This was my airsoft gun. Out of the box, it shoots amazing. The gun is a beast and overall just a great gun. 10/10

"Best gun I have ever owned. The first day using 100% stock, got around 12 kills. Soon after I replaced the bucking and motor, both very easy upgrades. My gun now Cronos at an easy 395 with .2s, very consistent fire, and has an amazing rate of fire. My friend owns a 300$ CYMA DMR, and now my gun outperforms it. Invest 50$ of upgrades, this gun will absolutely slap. I have no complaints, G&G is an amazing company. Please buy this gun!!!!

"So far, this gun is great for cqb. Short barrel, very light and under 400 fps. Its accurate close range, but it won't do much at long range. Having a ambidextrous mag release is also very good. Slinging this rifle is very nice too. Overall, I would definitely recommend as a starter gun for fields, especially cqb fields.

"Pros:
Accurate
Sturdy (no flex or rattle)
Decent battery space
Ergonomic
Wired for Deans with Tamiya adaptor (black&tan)
Cons:
Misaligned hop up unit (causing shots to hook left)
no mosfet
Average FPS
Occasional feeding issues with included magazine
This was my first gun back after 10 years off. I must say I'm really impressed. Reading my list you think I might not have liked this gun but it's fantastic, especially for the money.
The only problem I had with it was the misaligned hop up and barrel which caused my shots to hook left. I took out the front pin to dismantle it, pulled out the barrel and clocked the barrel slightly counter clockwise in regards to the hop up unit from the front of the barrel and presto! Shooting as straight as an arrow. A 5 minute fix.
The gun surprised me in its accuracy after the adjustment. 60 yard shots on a human size target hit 9/10 with .28bb's.
I recommend 7.4v nun chuck style batteries (2 pack design) either Lipos or Titan Li-Ion for the best fitment and capacity. The stick designs or 3 packs will require you to run the stock almost fully out as to fit in the buffer tube area.
I also recommend you use at least a .25 bb as the hop up is very strong and can easily shoot the .32s I have, .28 seems to be ideal.
.20 bb's will be over hopped and shoot high to point of aim.
If you're looking for something in this price range, you've found it. I couldn't recommend it higher.

"It’s a great gun, gun sites flip up and down shoots like a laser nothing but good things to say and when stock is as close to the gun as possible is very compact gun

"This gun is quality. I would 100% recommend this for beginners getting into this sport. Not a whole lot of maintenance either.

"Pretty good gun, You will need to replace bucking and mess with the hopup for it to be better at accuracy.

"I'll start with the TL;DR:
Pros:
Reliable internals that negate the primary con of using an AEG.
Room and compatibility for/with attachments (takes Tokyo Marui compatible parts), making it a very versatile platform.
Versatile FPS Range with .2 gram BB's, adding to versatility. Can be built into either a DMR or an SMG.
Despite the above con, the rifle runs very well out of the box, and doesn't necessarily require upgrades.
Cons:
BB's will often shoot right or left (mine angles left). This can be fixed by adjusting the sights, or using a red dot.
Not full-metal, and therefore can and will break if you drop it on concrete enough times. This can be fixed by not treating it like a real rifle.
Hop up system is often insufficient for this kind of rifle. This can be fixed by getting a new hop up unit should this become too big of an issue. Hop ups can be purchased for the price of some GBB magazines, and is well worth it if you're running it as a DMR.
Stock range of the rifle is lacking, partially due to the low FPS, and partially due to the length of the barrel. This can be fixed by installing a new barrel, and increasing the FPS.
I've been airsofting casually for over 10 years. I've owned many AEG's around this price, and have gone to many airsoft events.
The G&G Combat Machine (including the RL-8) is by far the best platform for its price range.
The most common problem with AEG's is historically *by far* the gear boxes. Most of these guns will break within a year of buying them, and owning one for over a year and using it semi-regularly without it breaking is legitimately a mark of reliability at any price range.
G&G Combat Machines are known throughout the community for their strong gearbox reliability.
What may seem like a con (low FPS) actually works in favor of this fact. The gearbox will wear slower, and a lower fps means you'll be able to play in CQB and outdoor matches without needing to switch guns or have different rigs.
On top of this, the Combat Machine platform is compatible with many 3rd party upgrades to the extent that you can turn it into a rifle that performs in whatever role you need it to.
Want to use it as a DMR? Upgrade the spring, get a longer barrel, and put a suppressor on it.
Want it to be a CQB machine? Re-wire the battery to be held by a barrel-attached compartment, remove the stock and replace it with a pistol brace, and increase the fire rate.
At the end of the day, this is the only entry level electric gun I trust to be reliable. Every other AEG I've owned has either exploded or otherwise had a catastrophic failure.
If you don't want to worry about the above, and don't trust the Combat Machine line, just run a full-metal GBB. Literally every single one I've owned has been completely and utterly reliable and has lasted me over 5 years.
