"Insulation was a tad difficult since iv never taken a vector apart but was quite simple and Laylax has a tutorial video on YouTube on how to do it. Very easy, relatively painless, must have for your vector.

"Installation takes a bit since you need to disassemble it to where the gearbox is out of the lower so that you can access the tension rod that gives pressure for the magazine release. Give about 20-40 minutes.

Very nice magazine release and also adjustable for the finger placement. Mine was slightly sticky in removing mags to where the release would get stuck but it's quickly smoothing out. Magazine changes are much easier to do with this but it also allows for a point where it can also be bumped when moving around, possible losing a magazine.

Overall, not bad, does what is needed to do and it works.

"This is a great addition however, there is a reason the original (left side) mag release is flush to the receiver and not protruding... with this mag release installed, it is very easy for the magazine to unintentionally be released when putting the rifle down on its right side. Still love it.

"This made my reloads a lot faster and it was very easy to install. But sometimes it does feel like it's too easy and I'll accidently hit the switch. It's a great addition but it is on its pricey side. It also takes away from the boxy vector look - so im considering taking it off. But nonetheless a great invention and product.

"Overpriced? Yes.
Did I buy it anyway? Yes.
Was it worth it? If your wallet can handle it, absolutely.

But actually, a very nice piece that works very well with the vector. easy to install, practical, and makes reloading a breeze. Only drawback is the price.

"The Vector's basic mag release is in a really kind of weird spot, ergonomically, and if you're the sort to just dump your mag on the floor and grab another in the midst of a firefight? Especially if you use a foregrip?

The ergonomics are all wrong.

Enter this. It's an easy installation - yes, you remove the gearbox in the process, but you don't open it at all. Screws come out, gearbox comes out, this goes in. It takes twenty to thirty minutes, tops, ten of which is getting the spring and spring guide back in, if you're anything like me. After that, it's an easy reinstall of the gearbox, and away you go again.

The only downside is the price, especially considering the cost of the Vector before you even get to the extended mag release. If you can handle it, though? Highly recommend. It's an awesome addon to a great replica.
