10 Customer Reviews

"Amazing power and feel. Mine had a manufacturing issue after about 1000 rounds cycled. But I'd still recommend any MK2 versions. I even bought another.

"Well, I purchased my 870 second hand, so it wasn't working when i got it, so i had to replace the bolt, but the gun works amazing.

Pros:
- The most fun I have had shooting an airsoft gun
- 15 bbs per shot (use 0.12 or you get no range)
- it's a real head turner (I get complimented on it 1+ times a game day)
- wide spread
- good training platform
- built like a tank (Super good quality, might be heavy to some)
- 7+1 shell capacity
- can shoot anything that fits in she shells, including Lego heads, batteries, rocks, paintballs as well
- super easy to disassemble if you understand gas systems

Cons:
- very impractical
- practically outgunned by everything
- very limited range (maybe 60~ feet max with 0.12)
- if you don't use the shell catch you got to look for the shells

If you are looking for a gun which is a blast, this is it... this is the most impractical gun i own, but the fun factor outweighs every con.

"I love this shotgun! It’s absolutely ecstasy inducing when you rack the pump and load shells in. I noticed a slight resistance (the bolt would try to load the shell into the chamber but freeze halfway in a sort of jam, and require re-racking) but I honestly thing that’s just me, and not the gun’s fault. Honestly 5/5, absolutely wonderful piece of airsoft weaponry.

FOR THOSE WANTING TO INSTALL MAGPUL FURNITURE

For the fore-end, Magpul Furniture comes with a tool that you’ll need to remove a lug to install the fore-end furniture. Pretty much a drop in fit. Get some hex tools and a screwdriver ready.

For the stock, I had a piece of round rubber covering a protruding tube where you screw a stock screw into. The rubber was not able to fit inside the plastic receiver bit that interfaces with the Magpul stock. I also found that the Magpul provided stock screw doesn’t fit with the SAI M870. You’ll need to buy a screw that does fit, or find a way to make it Interface.

"The other reviews are pretty spot on so I won’t expand on that too mich. I would, however, like to write some additional information for those out there considering a mk 3 engine swap and how to charge shells. The engine swap itself was easy, there are YouTube videos that detail how to strip down the gun. Make sure you get the aps fore end tool or find something that will serve the same purpose prior to performing the swap or you may be stuck halfway through the process.

Charging the mk. 3 shells (I bought some x-power shells) is pretty easy since the gun came with a charging nozzle but this method does not allow for adjustment of charge in your shells. If you want to adjust how hot your shells are shooting I found picking up a madbull charging nozzle (evike product id 31422) and then an adaptor to attach an 88g CO2 canister (look up “ 88g / 3oz Disposable CO2 Adapter - paintball” on Amazon and look for the “rap4” product, unfortunately it isn’t on evike) to said nozzle you end up getting a pretty solid setup that allows you to find tune how hot your gun shoots. I found anything over 800 psi and you risk blowing your orings in your shells so do with that information as you will.

Overall it’s pretty expensive to do the mk3 swap and all the mk3 APS parts need to come from overseas as evike does not carry them - they do carry the fore end tool, but none of the mk3 xpower shells, the xpower wads/covers, or the mk3 engine. I think this setup ended up costing me 1k (so far, I’ll always need the plastic wads and shell covers, CO2, I want to pick up more shells, etc., etc.). Lastly, I picked up all my parts from redwolf or tiger111hk, redwolf is legit, tiger was sketch but I got my stuff.

It’s a great setup and I had fun putting it all together, if you have the money, time, and, patience getting the mk3 setup is pretty awesome and really fun. People at my local field seemed to really enjoy it at the chrono range, not much out at the field though :)

"Straight out of the box BADDASS although my came with orange tip which I’ll remove later for custom upgrades also What it comes with is the shelll catcher , speed loading shells not the ones that need topples , upgrades or length adder (don’t know how to describe ) stuff that helps u choose comfertable length to it like stock adjustment or Quicker pump action ...other than that a sticker and nice box I got this 2020 so I recommended it

"I've been watching a bunch of videos on this gun and have been quite jealous of others having such a dope shotty. Finally decided not to be jealous anymore.

"This is, by far, the most enjoyable airsoft weapon I've ever used.

From the weapon's packaging to its performance, I wouldn't hesitate to give it a 10 out of 10.

The box is tough enough to be its carrying case, plus the packing Styrofoam (it isn't literally Styrofoam, but I'm unsure of its composition) is sturdy, yet flexible enough to hold the weapon suspended between the top and bottom of the box, without ever slipping.

Needless to say, I was impressed with the aesthetics and functionality of this weapon. I purchased the Black/Magpul version and have put close to a thousand shells through it. Jamming isn't a thing for this weapon... once you've attained that muscle-memory for the speed/force behind a good pump. I've only had one bad jam which was my own fault for doing it way too fast. While the shell ejecting feature works beautifully, preforming the pump action too quickly can risk the shell hull's integrity, as well as the beautiful, gold gas chamber mechanism (more specifically, the tiny silver arm slightly protruding from it.) With that being said, I'd like to restate that the functionality is truly flawless and unrivaled when used properly.

Firing the shotgun has a learning curve, but it's a very sharp one. CO² refills, at first, were strange and made me wonder if it was filled 100% or not, but practice and repetition will familiarize yourself to the look, sound and feel of a spread moving at its optimal speed (meaning the chamber in the gun was filled to/close to 100%.) ** I'd like to note, from time to time, maybe when it's the right temperature outside, I don't know for sure - ONE refill of CO² can last me anywhere from 14, all the way to 17 shots fired, despite the company's claim of it only lasting 7-8. While it's more likely that a refill will last around 7 or 8 shots, it appears there are times where you'll get even more use out of it than you'd expect. That's a WIN. Overall, performance goes above and beyond all expectations or claims. ...not to mention, when you use this in-game and round that tight corner to some poor, unsuspecting individual - when they look & react - priceless.

In addition to purchasing the weapon, if you'd like to purchase more shells, other than the two included, that's $20/$22 dollars per 4 shells.
The 88g/90g CO² canisters are anywhere from $10 - $22ish area, depending on option preferences.
100 Cups & 100 toppers are $14 (both items packaged together as one item) (used for loading shells)
I highly recommend getting some high quality silicone lubricant, I got the $6 or $7 200ml aerosol bottle sold by evike and it works perfectly for everyday cleaning and maintenance.
**I'm currently looking into getting a thicker, grease-type for the receiver/chamber, I noticed it shipped brand new with an unbelievable amount already in it and I've noticed that it's finally looking a little thin and used up after five hundred shots roughly**

All in all, if you're considering purchasing this weapon remember; gun $10 (CO² (reoccurring)) $14 (lids/toppers(reoccurring)) $20 per 4 shells ($40 to fill mag tube.) Assuming you have some .2 bbs, that's everything needed, besides the lubricants which you can buy at a lot of local stores.

Last thing I'll add, is that it is one of the most, if not, the most realistic weapons made for airsoft. Meaning, REAL m870 shotgun attachments are flawlessly compatible (attachments that use the pins/bars that are wedged through the receiver/chamber area of the shotgun's body.) If you have funds, this thing can be even further customized to infinity and beyond.

There's no doubt in my mind, if you buy it, you'll love it.

"I been a proud owner of one of these for a year now and I have to say this is among the most practical training tool there is. The new updated version making the gas charging much better is amazing!

If you are in the market for the best Airsoft shotgun, the most realistic Airsoft shotgun, or simply the best looking AIrsoft shotgun, look no further!
P.S: Convert yours to an MKII if you have the old version!

"Hi,
I just got mine today and I have to say that EMG/SAI collaboration knocked it out of the park yet again! This for me is a more "playable" version of this shotgun simply because it's a LOT lighter than the steel version and a LOT cheaper too. Believe me, I have one. Externally, both guns look alike aside from the green and red fiber optic sights. This aluminum version is more of a Player's shotgun than a Collector's shotgun. It's tons of fun to play with and it's as real as it gets. This is based off of an APS shell ejecting shotgun, so all APS shells will work. The shells hold approximately 12 bbs and it has no hopup. Great for CQB games but not preferable for field games. The shotgun came in a dark gray box which also included 2 shells with SAI logo, C02 shell charger, Magpul butt stock extension, Shell cups, Magpul sticker, Shell catcher and a Front rail adapter. No paper toppers though for some reason.

Overall, highly recommended to all Shotgun players who are looking for a top notch quality shotgun and realism. The price is reasonable especially because there's tons of extras included already, which if bought separately would cost about $100. But most especially, If you're a fan of Salient Arms International, you just gotta have this. It's well worth the price.

"I'm rating the gun here, not Evike. I had issues w/ them but that's not the gun.

I guess I'll just go through a pros and cons list as everybody else does.

PROS
- Absolutely beautiful. Every part you stare at looks perfect. Feel of everything is super great too.
- 6+1 shell capacity is pretty great
- Reloading wasn't as bad as I had figured
- Shells are pretty durable
- Accessories! Stock extensions, shell catcher, Co2 charger, 2 shells, and 50 wads/toppers included in box
- Range is good for a gun of this type

CONS
- Occasional jams but almost every time is solved by bringing the bolt back most of the way and forward again, chambering the shell correctly. Could be more learning curve as well.
- Magazine tube sometimes stops the loading of shells after 4 shells. Rack the bolt back/forward and load the rest of the shells and it's good (though you shouldn't have to do this at this price)
- $550. Like sheesh. That's a lot, but for someone like me who was obsessed with it, it was worth it

OTHER
- Co2 works for about 7-10 shells for me after a full fill, which is more than what the gun holds so I see no issue with that
- Shells aren't as pricey as previous generation APS shotguns
