CYMA Full Metal Standard AR-47 QBS Airsoft AEG Rifle (Model: 10" Keymod)

"I bought 5 of these when they were on crazy sale. All have performed pretty well. As best I can tell, they're Cyma platinums minus the mosfet and etu. If you're planning to upgrade those anyway (perun hybrid v2 works really well), it's extra money in your pocket. The only obvious part to replace is the stock nozzle, which doesn't have o-rings. The gearbox and internals are really good.

NOTE: one of my 13" guns came with a 10" inner barrel. make sure to check that during the return period.


HOP-UP FIX: As others have noted, the hop-up is proprietary and out of the box, super unreliable. The dial is loose and the hopup walks; worse yet, the dust cover strikes one of the hopup gears every time you close it, moving the hopup. Luckily, this is EASILY FIXABLE. You don't need to replace it. Just undo the Philips screw from the hopup dial, add an 005 o-ring (I like viton) between the screw and the dial, and reassemble. It tightens the whole thing up. Just make sure the screw doesn't walk out while you're adjusting, but once you've got it set, it will stay there. As for the dust cover, just pull it slightly outward when you close it and it won't hit the gear.

I bought 5 of these. I was shopping for guns for me and my wife, and came across these on some kind of crazy sale, so I bought enough for my nieces and nephew, too. So far, I've upgraded 1 for me and left the others stock.

The model number IS Cyma Platinum, but there's no mosfet or ECU. I imagine they derated it because the newer ones come with that. As the Cyma plat mosfets are not well regarded and often have to be replaced, that's probably a win. Internally, everything looks solid. Weirdly, one of the 13" guns I bought came with a 10" inner barrel, so check that within the return period.

As others have mentioned, the hopup walks pretty bad; you can live with it, shim it (plenty of YouTube tutorials on this), or replace it with the Krytac. Note: the Krytac ar47 hopup needs some filing to fit, but so far works pretty well. Also, it has a built-in nub, so don't buy a useless nub like I did.

I've modified mine, but mostly because I enjoy it. The stock guns are already pretty killer. Mine stock, with an actual 13" barrel, clocks in at 380 fps. It runs great on a cheap, no name 7.4v li-ion from Amazon, and once sighted in, it holds about a 3" group at 50'. Not too shabby.

The only non-m4 parts are the hopup and magwell; if that's an issue, you should probably look elsewhere, but the mag it comes with has never given me a feeding issue, seems to maybe be the best cyma ak midcap you can get, and is available on evike for ~$20. So...

Stock: 5 stars on sale, 4.5 at the "sale" full price of $170

Modded, this gun pwns far beyond my skill level.

P.S. the 18650-based 7.4v stick batteries fit nicely in the Crane stock. You can easily carry one in each slot and swap between if one ever gets low.
