"I love this gun. It easily holds its own against guns that cost over twice as much. And it's even better than it's full metal counterpart. Just don't try to modify it...
Pros:
Weight - This gun is insanely light. It only weighs around 3.5lbs and can be easily shot with only one hand.
Size - It is super maneuverable. It's compact size and lightness make this gun insanely effective in CQB games.
Rof - good rate of fire with an 11.1v
Construction - gun feels super nice, is pleasant to hold, and has proven to be very durable.
Gearbox - Ares has seemed to have addressed most of the issues with their gearbox on this gun. Great improvement over older EMG/Sharps Bros rifles.
Cons:
Comparability - This gun is way too proprietary. Everything. Is. Proprietary.
Gearbox is proprietary so don't try to modify it.
Receiver is proprietary.
Outer barrel is proprietary somehow.
Hopup - the hopup is the weak link of this gun, it doesn't seal well, there supposedly innovative design is just weird and unhelpful. Oh and guess what? It's proprietary. I did though, change the hopup out for a nicer unit and it immediately doubled the range and made this gun insanely accurate. That simple hopup switch though, forced me to modify the receiver, cut up my new hopup, and change the outer barrel and inner barrel.
16mm positive - why EMG just why.
Mags - The mags suck. Everyone has said it already, and there are different brand mid caps that will most likely fit.
Yeah, that seemed like a lot of cons, but honestly if you are happy to just have your gun and keep it 100% stock, I can't think of any gun out there for the price that is as good as this one.

"Really good airsoft gun, if you watch evikes video on this gun on youtube it explains everything about the barrels threads and it tells you a suppressor you can buy for it.

"This gun is awesome. It isn’t too pricey and performs just as well as any $500 gun. I would definitely suggest buying the one with the polymer receiver because it is cheaper and lighter than the full metal version, but the materials are still very high quality. The gun looks, feels, and shoots amazing.
I’ve seen complaints about how loud it is because of the built in sound amplifier, but personally I love it. whenever i go to the field people are awestruck by the skull on the front of the lower receiver. i painted some little red eyes on it and it even scares me sometimes! it has pistol/mp7 style iron sights which i love, but a red dot is necessary for larger fields and long range engagements. I wanted a gun that performed well, but i didn’t want to get an M4 or an ARP9 like everyone else. i wanted to get something that was different. this gun is perfect for that.
the grip is a lot more vertical than other guns, and it looks great and feels great. i got the sbr version and it looks
like something straight out of Call of Duty. the butt of the stock on the pdw version is removable (like the no stock attachment in COD) and it looks sick and is great for cqb. the deans plug is nice as well. i hope they release drum mags for it in the future.
the only problem is that there is a part that sticks out on the
back of the mag on the top, and sometimes i accidentally put the mag in backwards because i have stupid syndrome, and the little piece of polymer that sticks out gets caught on the the inside of the skulls nose (because it’s a hole) and it is difficult to get the mag out. but this is a user error because i was dropped on my head as a child.
if you are considering this gun, buy it. it is straight baller. you will probably need to buy a weaker spring for indoor fields though because with the one it comes with this thing hits like the second shot of the covid vaccine.

"Great gun for the price! Only issues I've seen with the gun are the 16mm threads and the mags are extremely tight.
Before taking this into the field you're going to want to load and drop the mag numerous times to loosen it up. After 5 or 6 times it becomes manageable. As far as the 16mm threads goes, there's adapters out there to convert it to the standard 14mm if you really want to use attachments.
I shot mine out of the box with a 1200 25C 11.1 lipo and noticed the motor began to heat up after about 4 mags on full auto. The same battery shot semi auto for about a half an hour and didn't over work the motor. Be cautious when firing the gun with an 11.1. I'd suggest a 7.4 or a 11.1/800/900.
All in all I'd purchase this gun again! It shoots fairly accurate at about 125ft and is very light, great for cqb battles.

"When buying a budget gun, there will always be compromises. Greatness is measured by the fewest amount of compromises. This gun does not compromise.
I have had 1000 plus dollar guns before, but this gun holds its own. After a few hours of gameplay and an extensive review here is what i found.
Pros
super light. This gun weighs around 3.5 LBs.
good rate of fire on an 11.1v battery.
super durable
the motor grip angle is nice, might take some getting used to though.
iron sights are super cool looking and are a nice touch.
the mags are one of the best hi caps i have used.
hop up works well.
great range and accuracy
i have had a gun with the same gearbox (which is super durable), And even still Ares fixed all of its flaws.
better than the full metal version.
Cons
the stock comes up higher than i wanted and can be super annoying.
the mags can be a little tight at first but after a few games you don't even notice it any more.
the right side fire selector is hard to move.
no mid caps (arp9 mags fit with some minor modification).
Notes
This gun has some strange and innovative features which are neither good nor bad but are just there.
the gun comes with a built in sound amplifier.
no dust cover
16mm positive makes it hard to find attachments and is unnecessary.
Conclusion
This gun is as good or better than any 300 dollar gun. And is most certainly better than its full metal counterpart, which adds more weight and unnecessary features that in the end take away from the gun. The gun is amazing, i love it. After dealing with many guns around this price point, i and amazed by the fit and finish. You will not regret buying this spectacular gun.

"I have had this gun for over two weeks now and i love it. Ive took it to many games and it performs extreemly well. With an 11.1 lipo this gun has a snappy trigger response and a high rate of fire. Over all this is a great gun and performs really well in a cqb/field enviorment.
Pros:
High rate of fire(11.1 lipo)
Polymer is very durable
Shoots really accurate up 100ft
Cons:
None (:
Rate 5/5

"So I bought this gun several weeks ago and i love it, but my only problem is the specifications of the gun is wrong. The gun states that it has a 16mm+ threading so I bought a 16mm+ to 14mm- so I can attach a tracer unit. The adapter isnt fitting on the gun and ive waited quite awhile for this stuff.

"awesome fast light weight I just don't like you can only use the EMG mag high caps ,I saw somewhere in the comments can use ARES M45X-S Polymer Airsoft AEG Mid-Cap Magazine (Capacity: 125 Round / Long) they look like they might fit not sure, and also the mag weld is so hard to pull out and in ,maybe once I break it in will get better, lastly you have put in the mags a weird way basically or it won't feed don't i like the whole mag system but everything else is awesome I use 7.4 1000ahm 25c fits tight don't let any one say can but 11.1v yes I think not, accuracy is good

"Pretty good gun other than a few things
Pros:
Lightweight
It feels good in the hand
it shoots well
even though it is polymer it feels really nice
Cons:
Magazines are hard to find, there are many that look like they work but don't, I believe the Classic Army Nemesis x9 mags work the best
It is loud when it fires
Battery storage is super cramped and it uses a deans style plug
Only has one rail.
