"Good early experience, bad quality control.
I had this gun for the first 42ish days of its life, and my experience was positive for the first few weeks. However, when things went wrong, this gun became a nightmare.
Pros:
Gun shoots pretty hard
Metal receiver is tough and my gun didn’t wear that much externally
Looks awesome
Trigger is responsive
Lots of rails!
Cons:
The hopup system is difficult to adjust without the little, easy to lose tool, as it isn’t a rotary hop up system
Fire selector switch is gummy, and doesn’t really click. It also breaks. The spring that holds the ball bearing in the fire selector uncoiled itself on one side, to the point it stuck out from the fire selector switch
Getting the gun apart was a nightmare. 3-4 different bits and at least 10 screws that were different types, this gun isn’t field stripable unless you have a toolbox.
Folding stock was nice, but the spring protecting the wire scratched and moved off the part it was supposed to protect very easily. It would also sometimes stick out, so you’d just have to force the stock shut.
(Basically just an unreliable folding stock)
There is no included manual or video that shows you how to disassemble the gun, only a similar video of a different scar that is higher end, which I had to find via a forum.
Most of my biggest gripes (uncoiling spring and unreliable folding stock) were likely just quality control issues, but the poor design and lack of material to guide you through maintaining your gun is frustrating, but this gun was very fun when it worked.

"I love this gun alot but I was messing with it today and pressed the button to extend the stock and when I pulled a tiny pin flew out of the butt stock and now my stock slides in and out and wont lock into position. What can i do about this?

"This thing didn't last long for me before the dust cover snapped... then it didn't work... then I got it fixed and it stopped working again. Then the flash hider broke and the rear sight adjustment wheel fell off. I only got to use it a couple of times when it worked, but it worked amazing the few times it did. R.I.P. bud.

"This gun for the most part is good but could be better. First upon arrival the plastic locking mechanism for the foldable stock was broken on arrival. Second after less than 100 rounds the back top screw of the gear box came loose and fell into the gear box jamming it and breaking several teeth off one of the gears. After fixing that the gun would not fire properly. Come to find out that for some reason the trigger had been modified (the top piece had been ground down to less than half the original length not letting the trigger hold the connection long enough to let the motor fully spin and fire the gun) not sure who did this, but definitely not the owner of the gun. So I fixed that and now it seems to be working fine. Oh and the gear box shimming was pretty poor too had to fix that as well. But over all once and the problems were fixed that gun seems to be on good working order just have to wait till the next game to give it a full test.

"I bought this gun a few months ago and I have played many games with it, It's a very very solid gun but with that being said the internals are ok. The SCAR shoots way too hard for even .25's and i haven't quite figured out a solution. I gave it a 3 because of the way it shoots .25's up after about 50 feet. I have a feeling mine is going to break sometime soon.

"is this echo 1 scar the same as the dboys scar like identical or are they different at all

"Brandon, your friend most likely did not have an upgrade when he used the Lipoly battery, which in turn would brake his gun. I have been using a Lipoly battery for awhile an it works great because I have internal parts for it. I have always loved the look of the scar and this looks amazing. If you do get it, I personally would get a Lipoly fix and this gun would be even more sick.

"This was my second AEG and I like the gun, but there are a few cons, If you are just getting into airsoft, I would recommend this gun, but for extremers, this is not the gun for you. I would rate this gun a 7 out of 10.
Pros:
Good FPS
Solid
Durable
Rate of Fire with 9.6v
Hop ups are easily adjustable
Cons:
Bolt catch doesn't do anything
Wiring sticks out when stock is folded back
Takes some m4 mags (Pro and con)
Glued on flashhider
Battery department doesn't fully close with 9.6v

"I feel like I should review this again, now that I have had the gun for a while and know a bit about teching. First off, let me say this: this gun will not last you a year. It's an awesome, cheap SCAR-L for UPGRADES ONLY. If you just want a backyard plinker and/or don't mind replacing parts, this gun will be great for you, but it will start breaking pretty soon. I've had this gun for around a year, and something in the gearbox recently stripped like crazy after infrequent light use. Best part is, I can't find out what broke, since the screws on the motor grip came stripped. Over all, this gun isn't too good unless you plan on replacing too many parts than you should in any AEG. I know, some of you may not have the budget, but I would suggest you save up for a VFC SCAR-L instead of this. This would be a good upgrade gun, though.
Just remember: thoroughly research the SPECIFIC GUN you want to buy. Also make sure you look for common problems with it. Don't ever do like I did and do a bit of research on the company. That is the reason I got this and am now selling it as junk for around $80.
I am rating this a 3 out of 5, because I would love to use this as a project gun to replace all of the internals of, if I could take it apart.
Seriously, if you aren't specifically looking for SCARs, I hear a lot of great things about ICS's Sportline guns.

"To begin, the gun that I got is NOT worth the flat out praise the other reviews have given it. I'm quite convinced those reviewers got a different gun than I, as this was discontinued for some time. Also mention of other manufacturers like Echo 1 and G&G are among these reviews. The description of the gun is also incorrect as it states the battery and charger are not included, yet opening it revealed both an 8.4v 1100 mAh battery, including two metal h-cap M4/M16 mags.
I just got this gun shipped yesterday and haven't used it too much, but right out of the box I get issues with the adjustable stock. It wobbled in every position I put it in, the worst being when it was fully extended. I "fixed" this after pulling the adjustable portion out and then reinserting it, but all that did was lock it up in the fully extended mode and prohibited any adjustment entirely. Jostling it about some more free'd it, but the original problem was and is still present.
The second issue I ran into was after inserting one of the high-caps that came with the gun, and one of the 6mmProShop mid-caps I purchased separately, both of them had considerable play in the mag well, especially the mid-caps. I then gave them both a shooting test and neither could last even a modicum of firing before failing to feed. The only way I could get it to consistently work is if I pressed and held the mag up into the well.
I am find these issues far too problematic to warrant any positive comments, as they have all been repeated fifty times by everyone else that actually got what they paid for anyway. But of course all these bunk reviews from a year ago are still up and are still inflating this gun's reputation. I don't know what SCAR is being shown in the Evike video on the products page, but it most certainly is not the one I received.

"Horrible gun in my opinion, I've had this gun for about a year and a half and I hate it, save your money! get a vfc scar

"This gun is a huge pile of bogus. See all the 5 star reviews? Look at the times on them. All within minutes of each other. Seems a little fishy to me. I ordered one, and it arrived broken. I got another one, and that had the same exact issue as well. DO NOT BUY!!!
