"I had purchased this rifle a while back, and have had it for a couple of years now. While being a solid rifle with a nice metal barrel, the plastic shelling present on the gun is somewhat weak, but this could be from wear-and-tear. Both the rail located on the barrel and on the bottom of my gun have broken off, and I have attempted on multiple occasions to fix this to no avail. This is an issue you may face when purchasing this gun, so beware. Other than that, the gun was really solid for the couple of years I have had it, shoots solid and sits roughly around the advertised FPS with the 0.25g bbs I have been using with this gun. You will also probably want to pick up a spare magazine or two, since my magazine has also broken, making it hard to feed bbs into the magazine itself.

"This rifle is perfect for any beginner airsoft or yard shooting. It is the bang for your buck, and I can hit targets a decent distance away with it. The attachment rail is sturdy, and mags are cheap. It’s very accurate, even if you have a crooked scope like me!

Overall 4/5, it’s not the best but perfect for beginners.
Pros:
Light
Metal barrel
Strong attachment rail
Accurate
Powerful

Cons
Sometimes jams
Can really curve when you don’t want it to

"I have had this gun for 3 or so years, only issue I have had is the lower rail sheered off. Mechanically works perfectly.

"I have fielded this rifle once, so this is a sort of one gameplay review. I have never played as a sniper before in airsoft, and using this gun was my first experience sniping. The gun held up pretty great. It was a lot of fun to use. I bought it on black friday when it was only 65 dollars, and I have to say it was well worth it. It is a pretty great gun for the price. I dropped it once after slipping in some mud and it held up just fine. It shot pretty accurately and once i get my scope dialed in, I assume that it will be perfect.

Pros:
Cheap
Effective
Mostly Accurate

Cons:
Not easily upgradeable
no barrel threads

"overall it's a great gun, the one thing i didn't like about it was that the screws are built in with plastic parts so if you tighten them to much they will break, so just remember don't screw the screws to tight, other then that a great gun! definitely get if you just want to try sniping it won't hurt the wallet! p.s 0.3.2gram bbs are best

"Got my M40A3 Sportline not too long ago. Here's my initial review (have not used it in a game yet):

Exterior:
1. Body is plastic, the barrel assembly is metal. Not sure about the interior yet, but overall it feels sturdy.
2. The plastic feels decent, not super cheap. For the most part, it does not bow easily, however in the middle section of the gun, the pastic seams can be somewhat bent around.
3. I got the OD green color, and damn does it look nice. Nothing flashy, just pure OD green. Goes really well with any other OD green gear you might have.
4. The stock's cheek adjuster is plastic, although slightly more rigid than the body's plastic feel. The adjustments are tactile and there are 4 screws (2 on each side of the cheek-rest) that hold it in place. Feels solid.

Interior:
1. No idea yet, haven't gotten inside the gun.
2. For what it's worth, the bolting action is fairly smooth but feels slightly short (compared to the JG Bar-10 & Echo M28 I've used in the past).
3. Since I haven't used this in a game, I'm not sure if the piston hasn't quite broken in yet, but when I fire the gun, it's quite loud. It seems like the piston head isn't hitting anything to dampen the sound (like a rubber stopper or sorts).

Pro Tip:
1. The orange tip is indeed removable, despite being stuck onto the outer barrel quite well. You will most likely need a pair of large pliers and a decent grip. Once you take off the tip, you'll see threads on the outer barrel - not sure if these are CW or CCW but it's roughly 19mm (.75 inches). If you can find some sort of suppressor adapter, please let me know. Also, you'll also see ample amount of space for any sort of foam you might want to slide around the inner barrel.

I'll update this post once I take the gun to an airsoft game, but for now it seems decent, especially for the price.

"This M40 is decent for the cost. The only issues I've had with it have to do with cold weather; for some reason, it really didn't like being in the cold (I'm guessing it has to do with either the bucking not performing well with waning cold/hot climate shifts or the magazines feeding poorly.) After being used out in freezing temperatures, it's not been firing consistently anymore.

Pros: comes with 2 magazines, nicely built overall, good entry bolt action for the price
Cons: don't take it outside in the cold, magazines may skip, sketchy hop up
