Evike Extreme 1.5x30 Red Dot Sight Scope System w/ Magnifier (Color: Desert)

"So I picked up a pair of these for some new guns that I bought, with the main goal of trying to find a low magnification optic that would give me a light advantage over a basic red dot, while still giving a wide enough FOV for CQB. While I do think the base red dot is quite good. It's brightness is adequate for most sunny days and the lower setting don't give off fuzz that is annoying in darker conditions. The main selling point of the optic falls short of impressing. There is a reason magnifiers for other red dot optics are placed behind the red dot is to provide a way to get the short eye box they have, closer to your face. with the very basic screw in screw on magnifier here, you have the eye relief from you face to the red dot, then the length of the tube, then into the optic. it's an eye bot that is inconsistent and very long. this leaves you looking though a whole about the size of a dime, when the magnifier is screwed in. That's about 18mm out of your 30mm objective.
While I will be keeping the red dot, without the magnifier, on my CZ 805. it will be replaced on the AK. I will probably look into a fixed 1.5x or 2x prism scope for that. I realize that for $50 I shouldn't expect the world out of an optic like this. but I don't think the implementation of this kind of magnifier was great. I would have gladly paid more for a screw in magnifier that didn't limit your FOV as much.

"seems to be .9mm wider than needed to propperly fit any of my 20mm rails. nothing a dremel cant fix though lol

both the red and green dot dont seem to be very great, but it still fulfills its purpose.

"This optic is a budget friendly red dot with a sturdy build, but a pretty dumb gimmick.

Pros
-Solid build quality
-Decent at being a 1x red dot sight.

Cons
-Lowest brightness setting is not well suited for low-light environments. It's a little too bright.
-The magnifier is trash. When mounted, it looks like your looking through a very long toilet paper tube with a tiny magnifier at the end of it. So much of your vision it blocked. This is because the magnifier is at the front. Magnifiers should always be behind a 1x optic for that very reason.

It's a great sight, but the magnifier was something that disappointed me. Don't buy this for the magnification. If you can find a similar quality sight without the magnifier for less of your money, buy that instead.

"The inside of the front lense on the red dot sight came with a scratch in it. Also didn't care too much for the cantilever mount as it had some slide to it when mounted on my rail cause of the notch in the mounting screw. The lowest brightness setting is a little bright for low light areas.
