Often considered as the first successful bullpup rifle, the AUG was indeed well ahead of its time as far as concept and design; it was highly advanced when it first went into service in the late 1970s.
Its bullpup design which moves the core of the rifles action behind the trigger allows for the use of a full length rifle barrel in a weapon with the ergonomics of a sub-machine gun. Some other significant features include fully ambidextrous controls and reversible charging handle and shell ejection port allowing the rifle to be configured for both left and right handed shooters. The unique two stage trigger allows the user to fire in semi-auto and full-auto without needing to manipulate a selector switch; for semi-automatic fire, the operator will just pull the trigger half way and if fully-automatic fire was necessary, the operator needs to only pull the trigger all the way back.Chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge for its ease of use and handling, the futuristic family of rifles in the AUG line can be quickly adapted to accommodate a wide variety of roles in the ever changing battlefield with just a quick swap of the barrel. The AUG is definitely a well-rounded combat weapon with a proven track record that can stand its own even with todays modern combat rifles.

" Pros:
looks, this gun will always turn heads, especially with the suppressor on
sound, very heavy and aggressive sounding when shooting
durable, I ran this gun with an 11.1v lipo and it wasn't handled with delicate care. almost never failed me. the only issue I had was once the plastic bit in the mag well popped out, but it was an easy fix.
integrated scope, for me at least this is a huge plus. the scope isn't amazing but it does look cool and can be used to see people from further and track your BBs
performance, out of the box this gun shoots pretty well, and the hop-up has a very fine adjustment, so it doesn't take a lot of careful fiddling.
Cons:
the suppressor is held In place by 2 small hex-key set screws. these do not hold the suppressor well and allow it to wobble quite a significant amount. Using it at full size can make the BBs hit the end cap, but it works much better with one of the segments removed.
forward grip is generally poor quality, rattles a lot, and has a noticeable spring sound when opening or if it is hit on anything
the bipod is atrocious, do not even bother with it.
overall I'd say if it's on sale it's not a terrible choice, just don't expect the bipod to be anything more than a paperweight, and be prepared to need to use the suppressor in the shorter configuration.
" Pros
Looks like a demon
Integrated scope is good quality
Sounds very aggressive with suppressor on
Cons
Abs plastic body/should be polymer
Suppressor is a mock only for asthetic and sound
The screws that secure the suppressor are very small and do not secure suppressor to the barrel well.
Built in grip is flimsy and has a loose spring sound everytime the gun is handled.
The rails on the suppressor arent fastened to the suppressor well.
The last 3 inches of the rails are warped and sticking away from the suppressor itself/ had to jb weld to fix this.
The bipod is of cheap quality. Just falls off. This is due to a metal band tensioner. Bad idea. A simple screw/pin would have sufficed.
